The Kohala Coast offers some of the best diving in the Hawaiian Islands. Hawaii is one of the most geographically isolated places on earth - 2000 miles from the nearest major land mass. An amazing 30 percent of the state's marine animals are found nowhere else in the word!
The theory session teaches students the basic rules for scuba diving, such as stabilizing ear pressure, breathing on scuba, and how to use the equipment. The dive boat goes to a shallow reef and an instructor will accompany the student at all times underwater. The dive is approximately 30-45 minutes long and goes to a maximum of depth of 40 feet.

Check in for all activities is at the Red Sail Sports Center.Hotel pick-ups are available the following day for the boat excursion portion of the course.

- Pool and theory work is available at either 10:00am or 12:00pm, check in for all activities is at the Red Sail Sports Center
- Dive excursions depart the following day at approximately 7:30am
Hotel Pickup:
- Hotel pick-up is available from Kohala Coast area hotels for the boat excursion portion of the course only. Please enter the name and address of your hotel at time of booking and call at least 72 hours prior to tour commencement to re-confirm your pick-up time and hotel. The contact details for the tour operator will be on your voucher.

Additional Info:
- This tour must be booked at least 7 days in advance of your travel date
- Confirmation for this product will be received at the time of booking.
- Not suitable for children aged under 12 years. Junior Divers (12 -14 years) are limited to 60 feet and may book a 2-tank dive. However, they must stay at 60 feet with a parent or legal guardian on 1st dive of a 2-Tank Dive. With a qualified advanced junior diver, the depth is 70 feet.
- A confidential medical form must be filled out prior to enrollment, and a physician's release may be required.
