This was a great tour. Our tour guide Matt was awesome. He was so knowledgeable about everything, even the random questions we fired off at him. He did great doing all the driving as well as being our tour guide, especially seeing as it is a super long day. The food provided was great. Highly recommend this tour. We did think there was going to be a bit more walking than what we did, but had an awesome time anyway.

Our guide, Eugene, was an excellent tour guide, providing a wealth of information about island culture, flora and fauna, as well as the volcanos. We didn't get to see active lava flow, but did view an open pit in the crater in the daytime and returned after dark to see the glow it emits. The hike in Volcano National Park was interesting and there was flexibility both about the length of the hike and the option to stay at the visitors' center for those who didn't choose to join. The meals provided were very good picnic style meals. It was a very long day, but well worth the effort.

Really enjoyable tour, overall. My only complaint was that it is not explicitly stated on here that they only pick up at select hotels. This made it very difficult for me since I did not have a car. Otherwise, Taj was awesome and, even though we didn't see any active lava, it was a really enjoyable tour!

Very good guide - Taj. Knew all the facts and more. Tour is a very long 12 hours. Not recommended for kids or older people or those with only a casual interest in the volcano. Nearing the end of the tour i was wishing it was time to head back, as it all got a bit of the same after awhile.Tour didn't return to our hotel till 11.30pm. Vegetarian dinner was included and was ok.
