Excellent lunch with wines included in the price. Informative visit to two chateau vineyards. The guide spoke both English and French but more of the latter. Ample time to visit the town of St. Emilion.

Both chateaus are wonderful. Saint-Emilion is very charming, and our guide is very enthusiastic and loves her job. Highly recommend this day trip to everybody. Has a slightly different flavor than the Medoc day trip.

Enjoyed the complete trip - guide superb, wine tasting excellent, lunch great with fantastic company from many countries followed by a very interesting visit to St Emillion which is a fascinating place. Great value for money.

We had an excellent guide. She really was an expert on the whole wine-making process and was able to make it understandable to the people on the tour in both French and English. I wish there had been more time in St. Emilion.

Tour was excellent, especially at chateau Figeac (may be spelled wrong). Lunch was decent. The only problem was the number of tastings. We tasted one wine at the first chateau, and 2 at the second. Very limited and at about $150 Euro for the first bottle, would have been nice to have more variety on offer. Still would recommend.

Excellent wines; speakers at each winery were excellent; tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about the wines, as well as the Medieval town of St. Emilion.

Excellent tour, not to be missed. Guide with exceptional knowledge. I particularly enjoyed the tour at chateau Figeac. The lunch was also quite good. The visit of the town of St.Emilion was interesting but be prepared to walk on some quite steep & slippery streets.

The wine tasting and the lunch were perfect. The translation of the French spoken by the winemaker's representative was a much shorter version of what she apparently was saying. Not a big problem.

Excellent guide who made the tour even better than it already was.

Beautiful town but tour was more focused on history than one would expect for a wine tour. The lunch at the Chateau was the best part - great food and a wonderful setting. Afterwards we went on our own to a wine shop to learn and taste as the rest of the tour was of the historic sites.

It was great. The guide speaks excellent English and the lunch was nice. The village is good but I would expect more wine tasting. There was only 3 wine sampled through the whole day.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

Overall, we enjoyed our tour of the two wineries chosen for the day. However, our guide was disappointing. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable, but answered questions directed to the vintner, and in one instance, after she answered a question, the vintner told her he would prefer to answer. She generally talked too much and at great length, repeating the same information. In addition, she received 4 cell phone calls while conducting our tour, 3 of them in a church! She did go outside to speak to her caller, but we felt it was inappropriate and she should have had her cell phone turned off while working. We provided all this feedback to her at the end of the day in the form a written evaluation that she requested. Thank you for asking and we hope this feedback is used constructively.

We had an hour to drive to get to the start point of this trip and even though we'd allowed 2 hours we still didn't make it in time to catch the bus. We rang the local organiser to get them to wait, but they would only give us 10 mins. Trip may have been good - we'll never know! Bordeaux however is a lovely destination in itself for a self guided tour ...
