This trip was the perfect combination of visiting a winery and seeing a charming medieval village. My daughter, sister and I are not big wine enthusiasts and did not want to dedicate a whole day doing wine tasting. This was just what we hoped it would be. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and we never felt rushed when we were walking around. I highly recommend this tour. Sandy from Cleveland
Very enjoyable and well-planned trip. Boris the guide was friendly, interesting and made sure the day went smoothly. Bravo !!
This was an excellent tour. We were in a van but our guide also used a sound system so we could hear clearly. He knew everything of the area, explained about walking on the steep slope of St. Emilion old town. The wine tasting was excellent.
We took a small group tour to Chateau Soutard. It was a very informative tour by a very good enologist. St. Emilion is a quaint ancient town and our guide gave us a good walking tour around the place including a visit to a wine shop where we engaged in more wine tasting. It was here we tasted the new Chateau Canon, from the winery recently owned by the Chanel Brothers . Certainly worth the visit.
We enjoyed the tour a lot. The guide was very fun and informative. The van was a little tight if your large. the winery as well as the tour of St. Emilion were wonderful. Our guide was easy to understand and really made sure we understood a lot of the grading and status of the wines and wineries. An excellent tour.
A delightful way to spend a half day. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a lovely afternoon. Also a big thanks to the young lady at Chateau Soutard who was our guide at the vineyard who was so enthusiastic and friendly. A must do trip when visiting bordeaux.
Boris was full of interesting knowledge of the region and surrounds. We learnt so much about the wines and St Emilion. History with wine tasting should be a must. If we did this again we would go for the full day tour so we could enjoy a lunch in the quaint town of St Emilion.
Excellent tour of St Emilion region - guide was very knowledgeable and personable - highly recommended
We had a great half day tour of the winery and the township of St Emilion. Fortunately there was only one other couple so we felt that we had our own private tour guide. it was most informative about the area and history as well as the vineyards. on reflection it would have been great to stay at St Emilion for lunch and to visit the underground church.
Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgable and the tour was absolutely amazing! The sights, the tastes, the smells! The vineyard and winery portion was extremely informative and modernized while plunging into St.Emilion was a throwback in time! I wish I had had more time in St.Emilion's old city, but there was definitely enough time for able bodied individuals to run around and see the city!
Our tour guide Delphine was very knowledgable and entertaining. Unfortunately rain limited our tour of St Emilion but at the wine cellar and the winery we tasted and learnt about the fabulous wines of the area. A great morning, a highlight of our time in Bordeaux.
The half day trip to St Emillon was exceptional it was so much more than we were expecting. Please pass on our thanks to Sarah our guide who has a very extensive knowledge of both the area and wine.
Thank you very much.
This tour was fantastic. Marie is a knowledgeable guide who took us to a great vineyard where we received information on wine making and tasted some delicious wine. We would definitely do this again.
It was perfect - small group, very knowledgeable guide, and we had the good fortunate to have the owner of the winery conduct the tour and tasting.
Boris was very entertaining and informative! The small group tour was the perfect size for this type of tour. We got rained on but the sun came out when we went on the walking tour to the vineyard. Sarah from chateau Pressac was wonderful, also!
This was a fantastic excursion as St Emillion is a picture perfect medieval town. The drive from Bordeaux was a beautiful drive through their wine country and its' Chateaus. This was worth every penny.
Excellent, only 4 of us and our guide Matt so knowledgeable. Lovely drive to the area first visiting a relatively new vineyard before going to St Emilion itself. Biggest regret, not long enough in St Emilion! We also learned more interesting information about Bordeaux during the journey. Would definitely do again but take a whole day.
We had a wonderful time on our half day tour to St. Emilion. A must see city if you are in the Bordeaux area. Our group was small which made for a very personal tour of this quaint village. Our tour guide Marie was very knowledgable, spoke English beautifully and shared really unique insight during our tour. We tasted fantastic wines and enjoyed the winding streets of St. Emilion. We highly recommend this trip!
Had a beautiful day here. Great driver etc. The old church is a must.....I wasnt going to go as had done so many churches, but went and it was amazing as centuries old and not many people are allowed inside.Would have loved to do Chateaus though.Only one wine tasting in town, so a bit commercial. They are asking their boss to try for chateaus.Town pretty but expensive prices for gifts.Double even.Bottle of water on bus would have been nice too......
Comfortable van, great to be in a small group and wonderful guide.
