The sun was shining and the sea was calm which was a good start. We had been advised that the trip may be longer than the 3 hours advised as they would do their utmost to find whales for us to see. It was over 4 hours in total but we did find whales and the Captain made sure that everyone on the boat got a good view and photo opportunity. Highly recommended and a magical experience.
This tour was amazing. Got to see 6 whales including a calf. Just forgot to get sea sick tablets beforehand. They don't provide them on the boat!
Great experience. A little choppy on the way out, but that was to be expected and we were warned of the conditions before we left. Saw lots of whales with lots of explanations and other sea life too!
You WILL see the whales!! Just be careful during the ride if you are prone to motion sickness - stay on the lower deck.
The trip was so much fun. We saw a humpback whale several times, 2 blue sharks and one minke whale from a distance. I would definitely recommend the trip to anyone that loves the ocean and nature. What made it even more special was a marine biologist from the aquarium explaining interesting information about the marine animals.
A fantastic trip. We booked a 3 hour cruise, but as the whales wanted to play, the cruise lasted 4 hours. Great boat and staff. My husband and 2 teenagers daughters all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Great value for money and I would recommend to all.
The cruise staff was awesome, knowledgable and friendly. The cruise and whale watching experience itself was a once in a lifetime experience we seen about 12 whales and the cruise sold beverages and snacks to munch on while going out to the whales and going back to the harbor from the whales.
The ship we sailed on was right on time, and smaller than the larger boat associated with the Boston Aquarium . In a way were were fortunate as we were not tripping over tons of tourists trying to spot the whales. The ship was clean and offered food and beverages and a large inner shelter for those who had enough of the wind and outdoors on the route back. It was comfortable seating. The crew were very knowledgeable pointing out the whales, knowing their names and history. It took about 1.5 hrs to get out to the spot they were expected to be. We did see whales and they were feeding at the time. It was a spectacular site and one to be remembered. You spend about 30 minutes watching and then head back. Well worth the money and trip for a nice day out on the ocean and boating and spotting whales. Expect to come back tired, and ready for a shower from the salt and wind. We took the Noon trip out. Gave us plenty of time to return to the hotel and get ready for the evening events. Highly recommend Viator. We have used this company before when traveling in the Mediterranean, Venice , Barcelona and they have always had excellent tour guides.
The tour was great, the knowledgeable naturalists and interns were very informative. Of course, we had good weather (calm seas and sunny) and saw lots of whales so it made for a great experience!
Better than we even hoped it to be! We saw so many whales we lost count. We were even treated to a whale who breached on the water right in front of us. It was nothing short of spectacular. The catamaran itself was comfortable and afforded everyone a great opportunity to catch a view. AWESOME! Worth it. Completely worth it.
