Day Trip to Martha's Vineyard

Get picked up from your Boston hotel in a mini-coach for a comfortable and relaxing 1.5-hour ride to Falmouth. Water and a light morning snack will be provided.

Once in Falmouth, you'll be dropped off at the Island Queen Dock where you'll board the passenger ferry. Your ferry ticket is included so you won't have to wait in line at the dock. Relax on a short 35-minute mini-cruise as you sail across the sparkling waters off the coast of Massachusetts.

You will arrive at the island of Martha's Vineyard around 9:30am. You will then have approximately six hours to explore Martha's Vineyard on your own. Your bus driver will be happy to provide you with more information and maps of the area should you wish to book additional activities.

Upgrade to a 3-hour narrated island tour to get an initial overview of the island. On the tour you will have a 30-minute stop at the Gay Head cliffs in scenic Aquinnah, where the first lighthouse was built. Next, you'll pass through the beautiful historic village of Edgartown. Along the way, enjoy the commentary from your professional tour guides as they share their knowledge of the island's history and present-day events. You will then have approximately 3.5 hours to explore Martha’s Vineyard on your own.

Upon completion of your day on the Island, you will board the ferry which departs at 3:45pm for a relaxing sail back to Falmouth, where the shuttle will be waiting to complete the final leg of your unforgettable day trip experience. A light snack and water will be provided on your trip back to Boston.

Outstanding driver! Extremely knowledgeable and truly enjoyed getting us to and from Martha's Vineyard from Boston. Rented a jeep for the day and had a blast. Can not wait to get back!

What a wonderful day! Steve at New England trips went above and beyond what I would've expected from a tour company. He was very helpful and make sure to reach me to connect with the time we were supposed to leave in the morning and where to pick me up. The three hour tour that he recommended while on Martha's Vineyard was fantastic. Would definitely work with him again.

Tour was everything we were hoping for. Driver arrived on time with snacks for breakfast. The ferry trip to the Vineyard was great. Our tour on the Vineyard, with Allyson, was very informative and entertaining. Driver greeted us on return to Falmouth and got us back to Boston in a timely fashion. Great trip.

We really enjoyed our visit to Martha's Vineyard on the tour. We took the extended 3 hour tour and our guide was knowledgeable of the island and it's residents. The 3 hour extension let us see the entire island in the timeframe that we had and gave us a hot of the history and its residents. Great tour.

This is a great day trip from Boston. Well organized and efficient, this tour helped me make the most on my one free day while in Boston on business. Guides were knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and punctual. I usually prefer independent travel, but this is a perfect way to see a very popular and congested place. I highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful tour with spectacular views. The additional island excursion was amazing. A local young man, Alex, treated us to many stories of celebrities, stops at fish markets, photo ops and was just a genuine caring person. We still had plenty of shopping time back in Oak Bluffs. The ferry ride was great. Tom got us to and from Boston without a hitch. We Loved the day!
