We had a good time walking through Boston, getting interesting information along the way. I loved the choice of taverns and the stories behind them!
Really enjoyed the walking tour. Our guide was personable and shared some great yarns about the city and its history. Would recommend it.
This tour was excellent! Your guide will take you to the oldest taverns in Boston, and you get drinks with the tour! Its a great way to walk around the city!
Fun tour with knowledgeable guide. Learned a lot about local history while enjoying local beers. However, the description on Viator is not accurate. The tour did not include snacks and only went to one of the bars listed in the description. Recommend comfy walking shoes for this as the bars are quite far apart and involve some walking on cobblestones!
Enjoyed this tour for 2 reasons--Kevin, the tour guide was really good and the by luck the other people we were with all really clicked as far as getting along and meeting each other. There were 11 of us total. What wasn't so great was that the taverns didn't seem to know we were coming--whoever is responsible ahead of time for letting the bars know the groups are coming should have an area set aside ahead of time for the groups--especially since at all 3 places people from our tour did purchase extra drinks and/or food.
Should be noted in description that this tour is a small group tour. We were unable to attend the Taverns normally visited on the tour because it was St. Patrick's Day weekend. Tour guide was nice
Three taverns Not Hand and Bell Tavern. Didn't get to select the drink at any of the taverns
This tour was a TOTAL disappointment. Instructions were to be at the meeting place 10 minutes before the tour began (5:30) and we had to leave the Harpoon tasting tour in order to meet as required. Our guide was double booked and the tour did even begin until 6:00 and was then cut short since the other party had dinner reservations at 8:00, he just left at that point. This was not the guide's routine tour and it was apparent since he was unable to answer questions and provide limited information. It would have been a better idea to save the $113 and buy 6 beers myself and use Wikipedia for the information on the taverns. Also, no snacks at any of the locations as advertised ~ save your money and buy your own beer and take the walking tour yourself.
