What You Can Expect

New England Coastal Tour from Boston

New England Seacoast

Morning pickup is available from downtown Boston hotels if pre-arranged at time of booking. Otherwise, meet in downtown Boston and hop aboard a luxury air-conditioned coach for a comfortable, scenic ride north through North Shore, the region between Boston and New Hampshire.

Soak up views of the rocky coastline dotted with marshes, wetlands, beaches and harbors. Your guide will explain why this is an important historical, cultural and economic region of Massachusetts. You'll also learn that it contains the city of Salem, the site of the Salem Witch Trials.

When you cross the Main border, stop in the town of Kennebunkport for free time to enjoy lunch on your own at one of the many eateries. Kennebunk's charming tree-lined streets showcase typical 18th- and 19th-century architecture constructed by merchants and sea captains.

Afterward, continue your journey along the coast. Your next stop is Nubble Light, formally known as the Cape Neddick Lighthouse. Located on Cape Neddick near entrance to York River, this 19th-century lighthouse is a famous American icon and a classic example of a picturesque lighthouse, so be sure to snap some photos!

You’ll also drive by Walker Point to view President Bush's summer home. Return to Kennebunkport for more free time to walk around and browse shops, and then relax on your ride back to Boston.

This tour is seasonal and only operates from May to October.

I decided to take this tour when I had a day to myself in Boston. I had never seen the New England Coast. It was the best decision. Everything about it was easy and fun. Our tour guide was so fun and knowledgeable. All of our stops were interesting and beautiful. I loved having the three hours to wander in Kennebunkport. I would recommend this tour again and will definitely do another similar trip next time I am there.

This was a fun tour. I only wish we had a little more time at Nubble Lighthouse. We had plenty of time at Kenebunkport. Our driver was pretty knowledgeable about New England, though he was incorrect on a few things. For example, Maine moose do not exceed four thousand pounds, in fact they rarely top 1500 pounds. The scenery was great and the trip was comfortable and relaxing. Our pick up was not exactly where they said it would be. Instead it was about a block away, but I saw the charter sign on the front of the bus and we got there in time. Drop off was only a block from our hotel. Great trip. I would certainly do it again and highly recommend it to anyone.

My mom and I took this tour on Monday, July 27th and we absolutely loved it! The driver, Mark I think, was excellent-very safe, accommodating, and very knowledgable! We learned a lot during the tour. The stops are great! We dipped our feet in the Atlantic Ocean at the first stop in New Hampshire, viewed the beautiful Nubble lighthouse and visited with a local in York, Maine and saw gorgeous scenery and enjoyed a delicious lunch at Allison's Restaurant in Kennebunkport, Maine. We would highly recommend it!!
