What You Can Expect

New England Coastal Tour from Boston

New England Seacoast

Morning pickup is available from downtown Boston hotels if pre-arranged at time of booking. Otherwise, meet in downtown Boston and hop aboard a luxury air-conditioned coach for a comfortable, scenic ride north through North Shore, the region between Boston and New Hampshire.

Soak up views of the rocky coastline dotted with marshes, wetlands, beaches and harbors. Your guide will explain why this is an important historical, cultural and economic region of Massachusetts. You'll also learn that it contains the city of Salem, the site of the Salem Witch Trials.

When you cross the Main border, stop in the town of Kennebunkport for free time to enjoy lunch on your own at one of the many eateries. Kennebunk's charming tree-lined streets showcase typical 18th- and 19th-century architecture constructed by merchants and sea captains.

Afterward, continue your journey along the coast. Your next stop is Nubble Light, formally known as the Cape Neddick Lighthouse. Located on Cape Neddick near entrance to York River, this 19th-century lighthouse is a famous American icon and a classic example of a picturesque lighthouse, so be sure to snap some photos!

You’ll also drive by Walker Point to view President Bush's summer home. Return to Kennebunkport for more free time to walk around and browse shops, and then relax on your ride back to Boston.

This tour is seasonal and only operates from May to October.

Truly amazing trip......... got to see so much of the New England Coast line......... and the driver knew exactly where to stop for photo opportunities. Loved the Nubble light........ would have like to have stopped briefly in Onqenquit but it was already a long day. His suggestion for lunch in Kennybuckport was spot on.

This was a fabulous tour. However, something for visitors to be aware of. We nearly missed this tour as our confirmation said pick up from hotel at 9.30am, when the bus failed to appear, we asked our concierge at our hotel The Sheraton Boston for help and she said oh, you've missed it, that bus always picks up at 8.50am. We were so disappointed, that she suggested we go downtown to the bus hub and get a refund and maybe arrange another trip somewhere else. Fortunately for us, she phoned ahead to the tour company and when we arrived a guy was waiting for us and said the bus was coming back for us. This was such an amazing tour, we would have hated to have missed it. Just something to beware of in the future. Couldn't fault the tour or our guide.....beautiful coastline!

Our driver, Dave, made the trip special. He talked all the time, giving us history, details and gossip about the places we past. He was even nice enough to take us directly to our hotel even though he could have left us off at the Transportation Building. Clam chowder at Allisias something like that restaurant was the best we ever had.
