Very nice day out of Boston. You get to see how the other half lived and stop in a Newport. We had 2.5 hours there but I could have easily spent more time there. Quaint sea side town, many restaurants and plenty of shops to see. Would recommend this tour. Tour includes admission to 2 mansions. Cant take photos though- so be prepared.

Excellent tour. Both mansions were well worth seeing. Plenty of time in Newport to have lunch and shop.

The Tour guide was very professional and took the time to go around and find one of the tourist who didnot show up at the specified site .( Was waiting at the site we were dropped.)

This was a wonderful trip! The driver was amazing and very knowledgeable. He showed us so many things and had many interesting little facts to share along the way. The mansions were very interesting to explore. We also had a nice time walking through Newport and having lunch. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. I might actually go again during the holiday season!

My sister and I will be talking about this trip for a long time. Wonderful time so much to see, we could do it again. The driver was very informative pointing out details along the way, history, and human interests. Just wish the buses were newer, the seats weren't that comfortable and somewhat bumpy. But we enjoyed the trip and would recomend highly. Nice to have someone else do the driving!

I thought that The Newport Mansions Tour was excellent. I would definitely do it again upon my return to Boston as I couldn't get enough of Newport in one day. The Mansions were exquisite and the tour guide was extremely informative both going and returning on our trip. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Boston. I give it a 5 star rating!

To have the chance to visit only 2 of the many stately houses in Newport really opened our eyes to the way the elite past wealthy residents of other cities enjoyed their summer vacations. The tour guide was knowledgeable and imparted that information to us. He gave us more than sufficient time to see and experience what was available to view. Add this tour to your itinerary as it was extremely entertaining.

Well conducted trip and worth going just to see the holiday "cottages" of the rich and famous - sad to think people have to go to these lengths to impress their friends!

This was a good trip. The mansions were amazing. What an insight into how some people lived in those days! I liked the freedom to choose where we had lunch. The town of Newport certainly held enough to interest one during the free time. Be prepared to return late!

The trip started later than was announced and the bus driver was sometimes unable to cope with the microphone and the bus at the same time (well, the driver should do the driving and somebody else should be the guide, in my opinion)
So we had the impression of some unprofessional activity with a lots of changing plans and delays.
However, the trip as such was great and can definitely be recommended!

The bus driver ruined this trip for us. He did not seem familiar with the tour. He spent most of his time visiting with a male passenger sitting up front. He even apologized for not knowing enough information and said that if we took the tour again he would be more educated on the subject. On the trip home, he drove far too fast and his personality became almost manic.
