Best of Brisbane Full-Day Sightseeing Tour

Best of Brisbane Full-Day Sightseeing Tour

From its roots as a penal colony, Brisbane has evolved into a modern, vibrant city and the much-visited capital of Queensland. Your full-day itinerary begins with pickup at your Brisbane or Gold Coast hotel and a sightseeing coach tour through Brisbane’s historic center. Hear tales from the city’s past and listen to commentary from your driver-guide as you cruise by urban attractions like City Hall, St John’s Cathedral, Treasury Casino and Parliament House.

For an aquatic perspective, board a riverboat at the lovely Newstead Gardens and enjoy a cruise along the Brisbane River. Glide under Story Bridge and past waterfront attractions like Customs House and Kangaroo Point Cliffs.

When you arrive at the city’s energetic South Bank, take a spin around the giant Wheel of Brisbane in an enclosed passenger pod (own expense). Take in panoramic aerial views of the city, river and surrounds from this observation wheel that reaches almost 200 feet (60
meters) above ground.

In the afternoon, visit Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the first and largest of its kind in the world and home to more than 130 koalas. Learn about other species native to Australia, such and dingoes, kangaroos, echidnas and birds of prey through live feedings and shows. For a truly immersive experience, purchase one of the sanctuary’s wildlife encounters, such as an unforgettable koala cuddle! Get an insider’s look at the sanctuary’s conservation efforts and have your photo taken while snuggling one of these adorable fur balls (not included).

After leaving the sanctuary, stop at Mt Coo-tha Lookout for inspiring views of the Great Dividing Range and Moreton Bay. Your full-day tour concludes with drop-off back at your hotel.

Despite the changing weather of Brisbane, the tour was a nice way to depict a general view of the city and then tripping around with more confidence.
The guide was kind and drove the trour at good pace in general.
Best part for me and my wife: Lone Pine Koala.
One low point was the short time to lunch: we end a nice river cruise then arrive at southbank to get into the wheel of Brisbane beautiful experience, then we got just 20 minutes to lunch. It seems that this was because our departure delay at the start of the tour, another low point, we don't get any reason for it.
Maybe it is a minimal point, but the guy who receives us at counter O in the Roma Transit Centre was not very friendly.

Great introduction to a beautiful city. Our guide, David, was highly informative about the history and the description of all that we saw. Of course, the highlight was the visit to the Koala Sanctuary. We highly recommend the tour to all.

The city tour is like any other city tour, general information about monuments and local events. The windmill was facinating, the highlight was the trip to the Koala Sanctuary, where I saw kangaroos, kookaburras, Platypus and Koalas.
