Considered one of the great marvels of the Kimberley, our experience at Geikie Gorge is brought to life with a memorable Aboriginal cultural tour providing a fascinating insight into the people and prehistoric geology surrounding this treasured landform.
Breaking en route for morning tea (own expense) arrive at Fitzroy Crossing and head out to Geikie Gorge for a picnic lunch. The 2 hour Darngku Heritage Cruise is hosted by local Bunuba Aboriginal Cultural guides (GG1) who provide a fascinating insight into Aboriginal culture, Dreamtime stories, bush tucker, animal tracks, traditional plant use and cultural practices. Alternatively take a 1 hour cruise with CALM National Park Authority (GG2).
On both tours you see geological sea fossils, crocodiles, exotic birds and other native animals. On our journey back to Broome we break for dinner (own expense) and arrive in Broome at approximately 10:30pm.

Whilst the Broome Touring Season operates between these dates, the starting date for this tour will depend upon road conditions in the remote Kimberley region. The Geike Gorge Experience including the 1 hour CALM cruise will not operate in November.
