Our tour guide was late but had someone meet us and share about Brussels history with us. Our guide was great -- a wealth of information, and took us around to many new and hidden places. The tastings were amazing -- we had so much food.
The tour was great. Much better than expected. We got a full lunch with Mussles of course, Belgian Beer Beef, Rabbit, and Belgian chicken. The guide knew the city really well and could answer questions and adapt the route to suit us. Beer, Waffles and Chocolate were of course fabulous. Amazing how much we could fit into an afternoon.
Wow...this was brilliant. We were sooooo lucky. We had both Marc and Marie (Mary) complete the tour with us. We were blessed with double the knowledge and experience of this tour. It was over and above all of our expectations. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to experience a real Brussels. Food and location tour. Thanks Marc and Marie for a brilliant tour...you were both fantastic.

The champagne chocolate truffle was superb and a great way to start the tour. We had delicious mussels (and lots of them), with a glass of beer and french fries. The sauce that came with the mussels was amazing and great for dipping the bread in. The tour ended with a fantastic tasting of a Belgian waffle along with a coffee. I had a great time learning about Belgian food and the culture of Brussels.

This tour was much more than a food tour. We learned so much about the history of famous monuments and buildings, plus saw neighborhoods and sights we never would have seen on our own. We even went up to a hidden panoramic viewpoint right in the middle of the city. On the tour we ate Brussels' famous mussels with frites and beer, chocolate truffles with champagne inside, and a Belgian waffle and coffee. Everything was delicious, our guide was great and we learned a lot about Brussels' food, history and culture.
This tour was amazing! I learned a great deal about Brussel's history and food. The food, chocolate and beer testings were fantastic. The tour guide was very personable and well informed. I highly recommend taking this tour.
No one else turned up for this trip so I had my own private tour ! Avo, the guide, was really interesting and told me many interesting facts about Brussels and Belgium in general. i also went for an apple juice as I don't drink beer ! then had chips and mayonnaise and finally a waffle, strawberries and coffee-I was also offered mussels but I don't eat sea food. This tour was an enjoyable experience and educational-I would recommend it
The food was fantastic, but I was disappointed with the hungover guide. He didn't take us to see Manneken Pis or even point us in the general direction after taking us to see the girl and dog. He did take us to a great view of the city on top of one of the buildings near our meeting point.
Firstly, our guide didn't even introduce herself so I can't give her name to shame her. She was completely disinterested in the group - marching ahead, not even checking we were all still behind her. Her information on the Grand Place was I could tell you about it but it would take all day. Let's go.
When we did get to our first tasting - an ideal time to engage with the group, she stood in the corner ignoring us. I attempted conversation and asked her what time the tour would finish, she ACTUALLY rolled her eyes and said Not until 5pm - and it's a LOT of walking. She was clearly unhappy at having to spend her afternoon with us idiots.
I STILL do not know what the first beer we tasted was called, aside from the fact that it was made somewhere by some monks from blueberries.Moving on, our 'guide' still had little information on anything we were passing or seeing, striding ahead and not at all interested. Lunch, I have to say, was very good - very generous with the wine which was needed as everyone was getting a little irate with her.
Following lunch, our 'guide' was still unable to answer simple questions, for example: How old is the Notre Dame de Sablon? She said It was built in 1147, I think... Yes, 1147. When we left the church, the information plaque informed us it was built in 1459..... so only 300 or so years out.
We went through a market which was full of direct quotation expensive sh!t. This continued on to the end of the tour, at least two of our group left early. Even the final chocolate shop, we were herded in, given a truffle and herded out.
The guide totally ruined this tour, which is a real shame as the places we visited were nice and if she had been at least interested in her job, it would have been 100 times better, whether she knew anything about Brussels or not. I honestly could have done a better job myself. Such an interesting city and I left feeling I had learned nothing about it. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
Tour guide was absolutely horrible. The tour guide was from France , did nothing but criticize everything about Brussels. The restaurants she will take you is not the greatest . I do not recommend this tour
Waste of your money.
