What You Can Expect
With your group, you’ll cycle along the cobblestone streets and bike paths to spot the city’s top attractions, with plenty of chances for photos. On the day tour, you’ll also enjoy a stop to rest your legs and sample a beverage and authentic Hungarian treat. Your private guide will provide commentary and answer questions as you pass the bustling shops of Andrassy Boulevard, the iconic statues of Heroes’ Square and other sites like St. Stephen’s Basilica and the Parliament Building.
Please see the Itinerary below for a complete list of stops on both the day and night tour.
Departs at 11am (March to November)
Your small-group cycling tour begins on Andrassy Boulevard and at the Opera house. Ride to Heroes Square and city park along the tree lined boulevard where you will learn about Hungarian history and culture before biking through the park to Vajdahunyad castle complex. Continue back to the city center and down to St Stephen's Basilica, named after the first Hungarian King. After visiting the beautiful church and square you will ride to Liberty Square for a picture of the last Soviet remembrance, then on to Parliament, the second largest in Europe with its huge neo-gothic facade.
Next, you'll cross the Margit Bridge over to the Buda side. Here you’ll ride along the banks of the Danube taking in the Chain Bridge, Clark Adam Square, Elizabeth Bridge, Rudas baths and the famous Gellert hotel and baths before crossing the Liberty Bridge back over to the Pest side to see the Grand Market Hall. The tour continues passing by the National Museum and the Great Synagogue before turning back onto Andrassy Boulevard and stopping by for a view of the Opera House before finishing the tour
Budapest Night Tour
Departs at 5pm (July to August)
You Budapest Night Tour will take a more relaxed and very flat ride and cover more areas along the bank of the Danube river. You’ll cruise along Andrassy Boulevard before taking in the magnificent St. Stephen’s Basilica, Liberty Square and the Parliament. Then, you'll cross the Margit Bridge over to the Buda side. Here you’ll ride along the banks of the Danube taking in the Chain Bridge, Clark Adam Square, Elizabeth Bridge, Rudas baths and the famous Gellert hotel and baths before crossing the Liberty Bridge back over to the Pest side to see the Grand Market Hall (a peek inside when open), and passing by the National Museum and the Great Synagogue before turning back onto Andrassy Boulevard and checking out the Opera House before finishing the tour. All of the sights will be seen at dusk and some will even be illuminated, giving great photo opportunities during the stops.
Our guide, Anna, was awesome!! We just visited Budapest for the weekend, and this tour let us see all the main sites in a fun and easy way. Definitely recommend this tour because it helps you understand the history instead of wandering aimlessly through the city.
A very nice tour with a friendly staff. Only minor dislike was the lack of stops. Often we would pass some beautiful neighborhoods and I would have love to have taken more photos.
I went on this tour with Bernadette as a lone traveller. I always find bike tours a great way to meet new people when abroad. Bernadette was a great guide, very happy and enthusiastic, with a great knowledge of the city. As well as this, she gave the group recommendations of nightlife, restaurants, and things to do/see. We stopped many times in the shade which was great because it was quite sunny. The pace was very relaxed and manageable, and the strudel was a nice treat at the end. I would highly recommend this tour because it was a great way to see most of the city in a relaxed and fun way.
I loved the city and the tour guide and all places. It was amazing!
My wife and I had a great time exploring the city with yellow zebra. Our tour guide was exceptional, I really enjoyed learning the history of Budapest. Our group size was perfect not to small but also not to big. Some bike tours can have too many people. Overall a fun and great experience.
Beautiful city, our tour guide Tomas was great and made it very enjoyable and fun along the way and also had a great insight into the history of Budapest
Adam was a great tour guide. This is a great way to get a quick overview of the city. Highly recommend.
Weather permitting, was educational ,fun, quite easy and highly recommendable. would definitely go again and a great way to meet other travellers
Great way to see the city and it's buildings. Our guide Adrienne spoke good English was very knowledgeable and provided additional insite about the country and it's people. Strudel and coffee near the end was a just reward for the energy used. A must do!
Really fun, interesting tour with a great guide.
