Well worth having, free travel and lots of discounts at places to visit.
Well worth getting. I was in Budapest alone and traveled on all public transportation to see all the beautiful sites. I felt very safe. The card paid for itself. Heartedly recommend
The easy way to move around.
The best museums are free with the card as the Lucász Baths, in Buda.
When you spend 3/4 days it's the clever way to win some time.
Gave us the flexibility we wanted to see all the sights Budapest had to offer!
I recommend to by in advance the Budapest Card. It is very importante once you can use for tram, bus, and don´t loose time for anything, including the atractions that are included.
I would recommend the card to anyone visiting Budapest:very good value and you don't need to worry about buying tickets for transport which can be confusing. If you like visiting museums, spas, sightseeing etc.,that's the card to get .
Great card to have while visiting Budapest. All public transportation is included as well as entrance to some museums. Easy to use and saved us a lot of walking. Would not recommend using taxis in Budapest as they are not regulated. Our taxi ride from ship to hotel (5 minutes) was 16 Euros.
If you are in the city for a couple of days, this is good to have.
The fact that the package is waiting for you at the Hotel as an option is GREAT - saves time and logistics.
This card came in very handy. The metro system in Budapest was very easy to navigate and we used this pass to travel all over the city. We also used it to gain admission to several museums. If you are comfortable with taking public transportation in Budapest (and there is no reason not to be), then you should buy this card. It's a very good value. Make sure that you write the date and time on the card and sign it. The "subway gestapos" stopped us several times and asked to see our pass. I had written the date of August 6th as 06-08 instead of 08-06 and then changed the date. One of the subway gestapos got real upset about that so don't make the same mistake!
Budapest Card is a terrific value. Free admission to several top rated attractions. Unlimited access to Budapest's public transportation system was a hugh plus in getting around town. We got more than our money's worth and would do it again.
This was very helpful to have. Budapest is very easy to get around via metro, bus or tram, all of which are covered by the card at 100%. It also has a large number of either free or discounted admissions at the top museums and other attractions. Well worth the price if you tend to visit the top attractions.
Would highly recommend it if your staying for more than 48 hours to make the most of it loads of savings plus various public transport all included.
What a great thing to have! We had enough time to make this worthwhile, and it did, indeed, allow us access and discounts to many places we wanted to see in Budapest. I recommend this card highly.
Well worth the money and lack of hassle when traveling. Would have liked a transport map with the card though, as we could never find a Tourist Info place!
Great! Gets delivered right to your hotel, it comes with a very helpful map, the free tours are so great! It gets you on the Bus/Tram/Monorail for free! I would get this again and again!
This was a very helpful card to have as we were able to go on all the public transport without any worry about buying tickets. It was also delivered to our hotel
The Budapest Card worked very well, very easy to use. The only problem was that the tram lines were torn up and we had to transfer to a bus which made us late for a cooking class in Buda. Other than that, it was great.
Good access to sights etc and the free travel around Budapest is fantastic - the tram and bus network is easy to use and simple to negotiate and the card is worth buying just for that.
Good purchase, compliments most guided tours, as a quicker alternative for getting around town once you have your bearings.
Once received the card provided everything I wanted. However, after flying 20+ hours to arrive in Budapest I was not amused by the trouble I had to go through to get my card. I could not get it from the metro offices, I could not get it from the tourist information office and I could not have it delivered to my hotel because it did not have any reception. So, upon my arrival, I had to walk all around Budapest to find the booking agent. They were very helpful when I eventually got there - I think you should provide clearer instructions of where to go if you need assistance in this way.
