We booked the half day coach tour for the first morning of our stay. The hotel pick up was great as, at that stage, we would have struggled to find any other pick up point.
The coach tour itself provided a great way to see they key landmarks in Budapest and quickly find our bearings, all before lunch on day one. It provided lots of background history and helped us plan an itinerary to make best use of the days we had available to us. Every minute of our time in Budapest was then used to the full.
A real bonus was the free tickets given out on the coach for the boat tour. We took advantage of this two days later and spent the full afternoon on Margaret island. It was a wonderful, warm, sunny October day and the trees looked magnificent in their autumn colours.
Well worth the (approx.) £23 each that we paid for this trip.
Really enjoyed the tour as the guide was very entertaining.
The tour guide, Susan was wonderful! She gave great explanation on everything that you can ask about Budapest.
Great tour. It hit most of the highpoints of the city. Our guide, Ingrid, was supurb, very informative and approachable. Recomend this for anyone going to Budapest.
excellent guide was offered a discount to continue in the afternoon with the parliament tour this was great too !
We really enjoyed this trip. Arrived in Budapest Thursday lunchtime and went on the river cruise with drinks at night. On the Friday we did the half day tour. The host was very knowledgable and easy to understand. We saw most of all the main areas and she told us of places to go and see.
Guides excellent description of all sites of interest. He also, gave information about locations which are not part of this tour.
A very comfortable bus (actually we were the only two: a private tour at the price of a standard one!), a very knowledgeable guide who told us many interesting facts and tales, and even a small insight in the Hungarian language! It was the perfect starting tour, so we have been able to plan what to see in depth during the following days of our vacation.
if you have little time, it's worth the money.
good guide, comfortable, knowledgeable.
Once we found out that the pick up place was actually in the InterContinenetal Hotel, this was a great trip by bus and walking. Budapest is our favourite city and we certainly got a short but excellent introduction to the city. The trip was not rushed and you had time to enjoy the buidlings and scenery. The tour guide was outstanding and eager to tell us about Budapest..
Budapest is a great city. A wonderful tour with a very knowledgeable Guide a must do
