Our guide Adam was a very personable, intellegent young man.Calm night, city lit with golden lights and wheeling birds. Loved it.
Outstanding! Our guide Daniel did a great job we will definitely book Segway tours as part of our vacation plans going forward!
This is a must do here. This city glows at night and you will be able to take the best pictures while walking on this tour and on the river cruise.
Our guide Christina was very sweet and informative. She led us around the best parts of the city and then showed us to our boat. The boat had an informative video and commentary in many different languages for everyone. The Danube lights up at night. You will not regret the boat cruise. It goes by pretty quickly.
Excellent tour. 2 hours walking seemed daunting but it went by very quickly. Laszlo was our guide and he paced the tour to participants fitness level or lack there of. He was very knowledge and nice. Highly recommend the tour. Boat cruise on the Danube a must at night.
Our guide was Brigit and she was fantastic! Her delivery entertained even my two kids who aren't easily entertained! She was very knowledgeable and humerous. Highly recommend her and this tour.
Peter, our very knowledgable and personable guide from Discover Budapest led us on a night walking tour of Budapest. Our group was very small, 4 of us, so questions and insight could be easily shared. We really felt like a local was showing us around this beautiful city. Eventually we made our way to the Danube River where we boarded the Legenda river cruise. Seeing the buildings, particularly the Parliament Building, lit up is unforgettable.
This was a very personalised tour because there were only two of us, so we were able to ask George lots of questions about stuff that interested us. He is obviously passionate about Budapest's history and had excellent knowledge. The cruise was a lovely way to finish the evening.
The tour and the guide was amazing. He knew lots of interesting stories and made the tour very exciting. I would love to take his tour again.
Very interesting, didactic and cultural trip. This tour gives you the opportunity of seen Budapest as you would have never imagined
Our guide, Anna, was enthusiastic and happy to answer lots of questions. The tour gave me a great insight into Hungary and Budapest that would have passed me by. Despite the rain, Anna kept all our spirits high and everyone enjoyed the tour.
Stunning. When you are in an amazing city full of a long and rich history, you need a guide that is full of knowledge and has a good sense of humour. Our guide Lazlo was all of the above, not only still enthusiastic when he realised it was only the 2 of us that would be on the tour but took the time to engage with us, ensure we were having a great time and had answers to all of our off the cuff questions!
Beautiful night tour! Budapest looked magical at night! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and entertaining!
Budapest is a city that takes on a completely different take at night, and a cruise like this is the only way to see that. One could pay attention to the commentary or just take in the sights. It was a great thing to do.
I booked this in advance and turned up to find I was the only person on the tour that evening. BONUS! So I had a personal guide in Anita. She tailored the tour specifically to me and my interests (Communism, Holocaust, Occupation) as well as showing me some of the places I should revist later in the week. I'm sure if there were similar interests in any group she would add in the extra bits. She also took note that this was my second tour of the city, having been on a bus tour earlier in the day that took in many of the main attractions in the city - this was to be a more personal tour.
Anita showed me the places that don't always feature in the guide books - a cafe, situated in a book store but occupying a Baroque Ball Room that I would recommend to anyone who visits the city. She had her own stories and was happy to discuss the recent Internet Tax Protest. We stopped at various points that I hadn't known about and explained their significance and history, including monuments, statues, memorials and people/figures from Hungarian History.
The city looks totally different at night and gives some significance to different memorials and this was to be my favourite evening in Budapest.
We had Tomas as our guide. He was fun and energetic and you could see how passionate he was about this beautiful city. We saw some gorgeously lit up places before going on a short cruise along the river.
The tour was very interesting and made fun by Thomasz who brought an infectious enthusiasm to the whole thing. He was knowledgeable and full of stories which touched upon local reactions to incidents in the past and recent present. The things we heard from him gave us the background which made our remaining days in Budapest more pertinent. This was a great way to start a visit to this engaging city. Highly recommended.
There was only my husband and myself on this tour as the other family pulled out. We booked as we were in Budapest for the Grand Prix and wanted to see some of the city. Budapest is beautiful and to see the sights lit up on an evening is a must. Anna our tour guide was lovely, she was passionate about her city and the information she gave us was very interesting. We will definately return to Budapest again to explore the rest of it.
A great way to see Budapest lit up at night with a very good tour guide.
The city is gorgeous at night and the guide supplied information that made it an enjoyable experience. The river cruise at the end was the perfect way to end as we saw the city reflected in the water.

The Night Walking Tour around Budapest is a must, especially around Christmas time with the beautiful lights glowing throughout the streets of Budapest. My tour guide Anita was very knowledgeable about the history of many locations around Budapest and I'm not a history person but I found it very interesting and enjoyable. Of course, Anitas English was great, I could understand every word and really got to know about the history of Hungary.
After the tour I was also recommended to a couple of other places in Budapest which took up my whole day! I needed more than a day to fully enjoy it though I felt but I'm glad her knowledge goes past just giving the tour.
The cruise on the river was great, you get served a drink and you are guided by the river Danube and other great people of Hungarian History in the language of your choice! (Mine being English)
All in all, really great tour and cruise, great picture opportunities everywhere, definitely around Christmas time. 10/10 would tour and cruise again. Thanks, Anita : )
I loved seeing Budapest at night! It was beyond amazing. The buildings were glory along the bank of Danube river which made the cruise much worthy to take.
