Excellent tour guide explained everything in detail with perfect english. Loved it
We enjoy the tour.
It isjust the timing of it, the Parliament is under construction and we have to walk around the outside, wait for the tickets and the proper time and then allow to go inside. Once inside, we are led by their own tour guide, he is very good and provided a lot of insight.
I recommend others to check the construction schedule to make sure.
All-in-all, we are happy with it and glad that we have seen the inside.
It was a short but organized tour. The tour guide was knowledgeable.
good tour,, as I recall... there wasn't anytime to get food or drink
We enjoyed this quick tour of the Parliament building. The guide gave us an interesting glimpse in to some of the history of Hungary and Budapest. Definitely worth seeing while in Budapest.
If you want to see the Royal Crown and what the Parliament looks like inside, I highly recommend this tour.
This is such a beautiful building that an inside tour should not be missed. The tour was a bit shorter than I anticipated for the price paid. The original guide only stayed with us on the 10 minute bus drive there and to get us our tickets. Then she was gone. The tour itself was by building employees. There were only 3 sites on the tour. The first was the amazing and beautiful entryway and staircase and this was probably the highlight of the tour. Next we had a 5 minute vsit to the impressive room where the royal crown was on display along with its ceremonial guards. Next it was on to the senate chamber. This was no longer in use a senate because the senate did not exist anymore. It is used from time to time for conferences. They said the actual government chamber was nearly identical but we did not get to see it. That was the end of the tour and we were released into the massive renovation construction works outside. The building should not be missed but the tour is a bit short and relatively expensive. I am still glad I went however.
This was good. The guide was not our regualr guide but the parliment guide.
The interior of the Parliament is beautiful, and pre-booking the guided tour is a must. You can only visit by taking a tour. Our guide was very good and the admin was excellent
We were picked up by taxi from our hotel and driven to the bus stop where we were met by our very pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable guide. Before entering the Parliament our guide took the group to a nearby neighborhood and pointed out architectural features of beautiful 19 century buildings that housed offices and residences of government officials and diplomats during the waning days of the Hapsburg Empire. The tour of the Parlament was outstanding: features of each of the chambers both in terms of the architecture and the role of each in governmental functions. She also pointed out paintings of notable persons and the beautiful decor of the building. We felt that we really learned a great deal about the building as well as the Austro-Hungarian history that took place in the buiding.
Our group has a wonderful morning tour of the Budapest Parliament building. Our guide spoke good English, was knowledgeable and friendly. This tour is a must see for anyone visiting Budapest.
