Really glad we took this in. The sound and excitement in the music really lit up the Basilica. Didn't do the dinner cruise. We enjoyed a leisurely and safe walk back to the Marketplace area in Pest.
What a great evening. The organist was fantastic as were the soloists.
What a lovely concert. This Basilica is beautiful and to listen to this concert that included composers like Mozart, Vivaldi, etc. was delightful. The organ player, the flute and the singer were great performers. This is a most see event while in Budapest. I didn't take the dinner after the concert you can have dinner at the several outdoor restaurants in the plaza with live music. I highly recommend this concert.
What an experience. You see a beautiful church, see a organ concert and also have a opera singer and a woodwind also play. So happy I chose this tour. Unfortunately the dinner was not available during the time I was there. I would have also had the dinner. I recommend paying extra for front row seat
it is such a wonderful opportunity to see this amazing Basilica and hear a wonderful organ concert at the same time. Spend a little more and buy the more expensive tickets so you are near the front. The concert also included an amazing singer.
This was the highlight of our trip to Eastern Europe. The Basilica is one of the most beautiful settings to enjoy a concert in. The musicians were fantastic - so talented! We were particularly blown away by the singer, who, we found out afterwards, is a very famous singer in Hungary. I didn't want the concert to end, but was glad that we had booked to go on the dinner cruise afterwards. The friendly host organised taxis for all those going on to the cruise after the concert, and we arrived at the start point of the cruise very quickly after the concert finished. The dinner cruise was a wonderful way to finish our evening in Budapest; the staff were so friendly and polite, and the food was fantastic! We tried all kinds of Hungarian dishes, and ate until we were beyond full - we just couldn't let any of it go to waste! After dinner we went out on to the upper deck to enjoy the stunning views of the skyline lit up night. It was a truly special evening. I would highly recommend this.
Concert was great! We had to wait a while to walk to the boat and they ran out of one of the main dishes. Otherwise it was fine.
Beautiful setting. Great acoustics. Would have chosen a few different selections but still a lovely time. Well worth the ticket price.
Very good organ concert with excellent musicans and vocalist where every note was spot on. Afterwards nice river night time trip up Margaret Island and down to Liberty Bridge with good variety of buffet food available. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pleasant view of Budapest river building and bridges illuminated at night.
The tour really showcases the beautiful sites along the river. The hosts were well educated and willing to answer any question you had about the area. The food was comprised of local dishes that were delicate and very tasty! We would highly recommend!
Superb venue, but doubts expressed by organ instructor whether it was the real organ or an electronic one in use.
