We had a fabulous time on this tour. Really interesting and a nice pace so plenty of opportunity for photos. Would definitely recommend!
The tour we scheduled the guide did not show up. We were not happy but were able to reschedule to the next day. Actually it worked out great as the date we scheduled it was raining. Our guide Anita was excellent. She was one of the best guides we have had with Viator. The tour offered great information and was a good intro to Budapest. Excellent photo ops.
Our tour was fantastic. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He took great care in showing us the sights explaining the interesting history behind all the amazing architecture. We would highly recommend this tour to everyone and we are completely satisfied. Our experience was wonderful. Our tour guides name was Gabriel (Hungarian version of Gabriel)
This tour was very informative and interesting---our guide, Brigit, was excellent throughout. Her standard of English was outstanding, she was very friendly and always willing to answer any questions we had. She also ensured that our tour reached the Presidential palace at midday in order that we might witness the ceremonial changing of the guard. Certainly worth an hour or so of your time...
Our tour guide was lovely, and her English was impeccable. She gave interesting historical anecdotes. The walking is very slow paced and there are no hills.
Our tour guide Peter was excellent, knowledgeable, professional and had a great attitude. Though it was freezing cold, his attitude and warmth made the tour enjoyable. The city had a great history, is beautiful and clean. In all, a great place to visit!
As in the walking tour, Peter was our guide. We enjoyed him and this tour very much. He is very knowledgeable and pointed out so many interesting things about the city of Budapest and the country as well. I would highly recommend Peter and this tour for future visitors to Budapest.
Off to a bad start with the description of the meeting place, being "Near Matyas church". Horrified to find about 500 tourists and half a dozen tour-groups circulating the area. Fortunately we stumbled upon our guide. Underway, we found the tour quite informative of Hungarian history, culture, and more recent developments of the Buda hill district, and Budapest more widely. After we expressed interest in recent (WW II) history, the tour guide directed us to the underground hospital museum, which we visited and appreciated later that day. There's only so much you can cover in 150 minutes, and we left satisfied, thanks to the well informed and communicative guide.
Other than the confusion as to the meeting place, the tour was very good. We were the only people on the tour so we got more personal attention from Anita. We enjoyed our tour and her knowledge.
Due to the many number of tours going on in the same area ( and lots of people) the meeting place should be better described to avoid confusion.
NIce walk, very interesting historic notes by our guide, we have been able to exploit this hour and an half and prepare for a more complete and accurate visit.
The tour was very initmate as there were only 4 of us including the tour guide on the tour. The guide was very knowledgable and informative. The tour was very interesting and to be able to walk around the various sites and soak up the history was much more informative than viewing from a vehicle like a bus. Overall Budapest is a beautiful and interesting city.
Nice walk around the Buda District and history of the area. Does not include getting in to St. Mathias or the museums in the Castle, but our tour guide was very knowledgable and gave us lots of historical information from this area. He also gave us recommendations for other things to do in the city.
