What You Can Expect
Your tour will begin with an interior look at the castle, while hearing some of the stories behind its rich history from your professional guide. Afterward you’ll have the option of walking through the park that surrounds the palace, or visiting the Royal Stables and equestrian riding school. If you’re up for a snack, sample a traditional pastry or two in the Palace Café at your own expense before traveling back to your Budapest hotel with your guide.
A very informative tour! The Godollo Castle easily impressive. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the place. It is one of the 'must see' places while in Hungary.
A very nice and interesting tour. Higly recommended. Tour leader Elizabeth was very nice and full of information about Budapest in general and also during our castle visit.
Tours was with Eurama which is a low cost tour agency. The guide was very knowledgeable. Everything went according to schedule. There were nine of us on the tour. The guide spoke in both English and Italian for the group to accommodate different languages. We were able to be dropped off at Szechenyi Baths on the way back to central Budapest which was wonderful as it saved us a lot of time.
Pick up from the hotel but the do not return you back to the hotel only to a drop off point which was strange as we were picked up from the hotel . The castle was pretty and interesting nice morning out.
Our guide was very good providing a detailed history of the castle. The castle was amazing and well worth a visit.
The guide was at his fingertips in narrating the History of the Castle
I got thrilled to meet the important characters of the Austrian Hungarian empire once again , first time during my MAYERLING Visit near Vienna
I recommend the guide , and tour
Excellent tour! Although I was the only person on the tour, it was not cancelled. My guide was an extremely friendly and knowledgeable person. It is wonderful to see someone who has such love and excitement for their country! I am so glad I took the time to take this tour as a student of history this palace has seen some fascinating times. The Castle is still in the midst of remodeling as much was either taken away or destroyed by the Nazis and later the Soviets but it is well worth the trip. And I really appreciate that they dropped me off at the end of the tour in front of the Opera House. I hope I am able to take another tour with this guide on my next trip to Budapest.
Very nice trip. Good explanations.
interesting. very good guide
We were mesmerised by Sisi on our last visit to Vienna in 2012 luckily Godolo castle also turned out to be her palace which is now very well maintained
