Very interesting and pleasant tour. Good guide, interesting show and very tasty meal.
Excellent communicator, great sense of humour and very competent in her job. Enjoyed the visit as it was very different.
The tour was well worth time spent. Tour guide Helen and driver was fantastic. The farm visit was great to see and even ride a horse. Luch at the farm house was reasonable as well. Thanks Eurorama
We were picked up at our hotel, early and had a fabulous day. We enjoyed seeing the Puszta Great Plains, going on a horse drawn carriage, the horse show, delicious lunch with live music. Followed by a walking tour around Kecskemet, and were delivered back to our hotel. Great day to end our visit in Budapest!
This tour was absolutely fantastic!!! Kecskemet was a charming town. We happened to be there on Easter Sunday, so the centre was abuzz with all the people to and fro with church activities. The town itself was really beautiful. The highlight of the trip was, however, the horse centre. It was absolutely wonderful. The welcome drink was a fun experience, the carriage ride was lovely, the horseshow spectacular and the tour of the centre after the show was extremely interesting. We went to a nice restaurant for the meal following the horse centre. There, the food was very good and very plentiful. My only negative comment was that the musicians were supposed to be playing Hungarian music. However, because there was a very large group of Italians present, they focused on Italian music. I had to specifically request them to play Hungarian music.
It was a wonderful last day trip out of Budapest before flying home. The countryside ....the city walking tour.... And The Lippizaner horses....b e a u t i f u l to watch in their performance and the we toured the ranch before heading to lunch which was delicious and plentiful.
This was a very good tour. Kecskemet was an interesting city with Art Neuveau and other interesting architecture. The visit to the equine center and stud farm was a highlight. The Hungarian meal was fabulous, if way too much food. The local guide was very good, informative, and told personal stories that added a great deal to the cultural experience.
My son and I had fond memories of this tour, when we had taken it, in 1992 and this time, when I returned with my husband, brother and his wife, it was just as enjoyable, even in record heat! Kecskemet is a lovely town, noted for music and its amazing architecture - a great stop! The highlight of the tour, of course, were the Csikos and the horsemanship show! The luncheon that followed, with live Hungarian music was lovely!! And our lively and informative guide, our proficient driver and comfortable bus helped make this a memorable day for all!
Really fun day. I went on this tour to see some of the countryside of Hungary but had a fabulous time in all respects. The horse show was really great and lunch was nice and very social. The whole day was really well organized and I enjoyed it immensely - beyond my expectations!!
We had a great time, our guide was very good, the show was entertaining and the food was very good and more than generous. It was a small group of people and we had great conversations. I had to make a call to Austria though to confirm hotel pick up, a local number would have been easier.
This was most enjoyable...our guide was very knowledgeable and chatty. Lovely meal at the taverna with beautiful music
Had a brilliant day! Enjoyed the meal also. The tour guide was very informative. Well worth the money.
A really enjoyable tour with an informative guide, an excellent driver and some beautiful scenery. Kecskemet was a delightful town and the farm was a beautiful setting for a wander and enjoyable lunch. The "cowboys " were great and their display of horsemanship was exciting. The trip was a terrific contrast to the city and provided a relaxing break.
