Wine Tasting Tour to the Etyek Region

Start your tour with a drive to the Haraszthy Vallejo Cellar (Etyek), enjoying the view on Etyek Buda Hill and the wonderful surroundings.

The wine district of Etyek lies 577 feet (176 meters) above the sea level, located on the north east border of the County Fejer only 16 miles (26 kilometers) from Budapest.

Historically, the grapes grown in this region are used for the production of sparkling wine and champagne. Grapes are grown in a 800 hectare area. The Torley sparkling wine is made from the excellent Chardonnay grapes of Etyek, a region with endowments similar to Champagne.

Typical wines from Etyek are: Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc and Pinot Gris is becoming more and more popular. Indulge in some wine tasting and snacks and take the opportunity to purchase a bottle from the vineyard.

Upon your return to Budapest, your tour ends at the Hotel Intercontinental.
