Another great day out - well worth the money combining the 3 trips. The cruise was lovely - very interesting commentary on the boat about the area and the people who live the Tigre Delta area. In the afternoon it was the city tour of Buenos Aires - The La Boca area was my favourite. There was a guy on board the coach at the start of the trip taking everyone's photos - you had a feeling you were in for some tacky photo souvenirs - when you got them back your face was superimposed on tango dancers and football supporters - very original - I bought the 2 photos - totally worth the money. In the evening went to the tango show at the Los Angelitos Café - lovely 3 course meal and the tango show was superb. Well worth a visit.
Even though they had people at the bus with different types of tours within the package (some had half-day tour, others had full day, others were on a different tour but within the same highway) the team was in constant communication with themselves and the transition from one tour to the other was flawless. The tours were on point from what was described in the page. One other thing that I loved was the fact that during the city sightseeing tour I was the only Spanish-speaking tourist in the bus, the other were Brazilians and even though I told the tour guide (Melissa) that I speak Portuguese, she insisted to do a bilingual version of the tour, which speaks volumes of her commitment to ensure that everyone is taken care of and catered the best way possible.
It was a great tour for reasonable price. River cruise was beatiful, unfortunately we didn´t have boat wit¨h an open roof. During the City tour we could have more free time at Recoleta. Tango show amazing an dinner incl. wine delicious. Steak is highly recomended.
We really enjoyed the tour. The Tigre Delta River Cruise was really nice and relaxing. The city tour showed us the highlights of Buenos Aires and stopped at La Boca and Casa Rosada, which we really enjoyed. And the dinner and Tango show were awesome. Our steak was delicious as was dessert :-) and the Tango show was exceptional. The theatre is small and we were seated in front. The dancers and costumes were great!! Thank you.
We had great tour guides on our City Tour and Tigre Delta tour. It was amazing and they were excellent at getting us the information on all the sites we visited. The Tango Dinner show was superb - the dancing the dinner - outstanding! Loved it all. BA is a great city glad we booked the tours so we could see as much as possible in our short time there. We got a great creative picture from our tour guide - really something special and a great memory.
We had a great time on this tour! We saw all of the areas of the city that had been recommended to us. The tour guides were very knowledgeable. The Tango Show was amazing!!
Our tour consisted of three parts - Tigre river tour, city tour and tango show. By far, the tango show was the best. The Tigre river tour was interesting but not much nariation. The guide on the bus to/from the river tour was wonderful. She easily alternated between spanish and english (not making us out of towners feel like second class citizens).
We were fortunate to have the same driver for the city tour which allowed us to stay on the bus for the transition between the two tours. Had we followed the guides suggestion, we would have been left off somewhere we were not familiiar with and waited over an hour. The city tour was lacking. Very little English explanation.
Finally the tango show. The transportation was right on time and the show was wonderful - even though it was entirely in Spanish and we couldn't understand any part of the show. Food was also good with plenty of selctions for everyone.
Overall a good way to get a feel for the city.
The river experience was wonderful. Would have liked more of a city tour, though. The tango show was unreal!! The dancers are so great. The food was ok but they need to improve on their vegetarian dishes.
Tigre Delta River Cruise was really interesting. The area seems to be being "gentrified" so one could see mansions and shacks in proximity. The city tour was also very good; it was great to get to see an the tango area which was not safe alone at night, in perfect safety with the tour. The dinner and tango show was excellent; I loved that we got the history of the dance in the show.
There were a couple of glitches, we got a late start due to traffic. I was a quick shift from the River Cruise to the City tour. The brochure mentioned 2 hours for lunch. This was news to the tour operators. If we hadn't
skipped seeing a cathedral in favour of getting a sandwich, we would have been starving by the end of the tour.
The food was good and the service was attentive - we had a nice waiter and the service was good and we were seated right next to the stage. the show was entertaining, not all dancers were stars but we couldn't complain about it as we enjoyed it all. Certainly worth the money, dinner and a show for this price is quite reasonable. Transportation was efficient and well managed. I would recommend this even if it is all Spanish.
A wonderful day in Buenos Aires. All three activities were interesting and informative. The tango dinner show
at Angelito deserved the highest applause. Great food, beautiful music, colorful costumes and most artistic interpretation of the Tango. A feast for one's physical, audio and visual sensation. The river cruise was very enjoyable as well. Room to improve: Tours for English speakers only. Tour guides will be more effective if he/she speaks only in English. It was a distraction listening to another language which is totally foreign to us.
The City Tour gave us a quick insight into the city's history and the principle places to go back to. The sector where Tango was born was quite an experience by itself. The Tigre Delta was unique as it took us outside the city, showed us what the suburbs were like and of course the cruise around the Delta area was great. The Tango show - and the dinner - were both exceptionally great! The only downside to this "three tour" combination was the lack of time to have lunch (which would have been manageable had we been given a clearer picture of the timing of each tour. Lunch could then have been a quick snack while on the Tigre tour, at one of the longer halts.
