We had a great time on this tour! We saw all of the areas of the city that had been recommended to us. The tour guides were very knowledgeable. The Tango Show was amazing!!
The Tigre cruise and the tango show were very pleasing, though the sightseeing tour was uneventful and rushed. Do the bike tour instead.
We loved the Tigre River Cuise and the Tango Show with dinner was fantastic, even better than we had hoped. The "City Sightseeing Tour" was a bit weak because the guide gave us minimal information about what we were to see and then made no attempt to walk with us on any part of it to answer our questions in the very brief time allotted to each area. It was well worth the money and rated four stars only because of the other two components.
The morning tour on the Tigre Delta River Cruise was really interesting; however on return the bus did not drop us off at the hotel, so we wandered around for about 30 minutes before we found our way back to the hotel. This could have been problematic given there was only 30 minutes between the River Cruise and the City Sightseeing Tour. As it was, I was unwell and had to give the Sightseeing Tour a miss - so can't comment on this part of the package. The company were very accommodating and re-scheduled the Tango Show with dinner for us to the following night. We went to the Cafe option which wasn't great. The meal was really rushed and the food left a lot to be desired. The show was average compared to another Tango show I had an opportunity to see later on in the week. But overall a good package - although could be very tiring by the end of the day...
Es un tour muy bien conducido pero demasiado extenso para ser tomado en una sola jornada, considerando además que los horarios de recogida son aproximativos En todo caso fue muy provechoso y lo disfrutamos enormemente
The tour was a nice panoramic of Buenos Aires and it helped that we purchased it at a discount. We had our river cruise first which was very enjoyable. We made a nice brief stop in San Isidro and our guide, Gabriel was wonderful along the way, providing lots of information that gave color to the area. Gabriel was also our guide for the city tour, which was good but not great (we felt like two stops could have been skipped altogether). We had zero time in between the 3 segments, so that "break for lunch" never happened and we were starving for much of the afternoon. We then had to leave the afternoon city tour early (at our own expense) just to have time to change for the tango show (which required more formal attire than anyone would wear for a city tour or river cruise). The tango show was lovely and a lot of fun, though the dinner left something to be desired, as expected. I recommend this all day tour, but only if you carry enough water and food to get you through a good chunk of the day and only if you are okay that you may have to leave the second segment early to make it to the Tango show on time.
The Tiger trip was nice, not what I expected though but the tour lead Aymeh was very friendly and knowledgable so she was constantly feeding us information about the history, cities, food, music, culture and traditions of Argentines. Then we went on the city tour which was very disappointing because the leader only took us to the important places and provided no information what so ever....
The best part was the Tango show at Cafe Los Angelitos!!! Amazing show, nice dinner and wonderful experience.... It was the highlight of my trip.....
Best bits - La Boca and Tango show. They should do a tour of just that! The Tigre delta was nice enough, but just a boat ride, no complaints though. The city sightseeing tour could be great, but the faff around taking you to pointless places with nothing really to see, not stopping at the decent landmarks, then leave you with only half an hour when you get to La Boca, when really you could (and should) spend hours there. Good from a safety aspect travelling in a group, but Wehn you get to La Boca you go off on your own anyway. If you like the theatre (which I do) you'll LOVE the tango show, its was amazing, great food, great service and great dancers. I expected a mediocre meal, but it was superb and one of the best steaks I had in Argentina!
The only part of the morning tour we would consider OK was the cruise. The bus was in poor condition and dirty. City tour was better tour guide good. Downside was being dropped off in city to wait for 2nd bus some 40 minutes.
It rained a better part of the day so we were unable to see much of anything. We were not told where we were to be picked up so I had to call the tour operator to get the info. They said they would pick us up at 8 am but didn't show until 9:30. After the Tigre trip we were left at a different hotel and was told we would be picked up at 1:30 pm. Bus was on time but still raining so windows fogged up, still unable to see much. All in all the best part of the trip was the dinner and show
