Excellent guide - Carlos who really knew "his stuff". Maybe a little too long especially in the graveyard where Eva Peron is entombed.
This walking tour is a good deal. If your new to Buenos aires, this is a good way to start, cause it shows you where everything is. The guides Spoke great English, and are extremely helpful.
First class, would recommend this to anyone stopping over in BA.Tour lasted nearly 7hrs and covered everything.
Only problem, everyone on the tour(3 couples) assumed that we would finish the tour at the same place it started,WRONG! We were left in an old part of BA and told go out of the building turn left and your hotel is in that direction.
30 minutes later with aid of a map we made it back, but don't let this put you off.
Excellent! We covered a lot of ground (we were walking for about seven hours) and Carlos, our guide, was very interesting and knowledgeable, as well as speaking faultless English, He gave us a great insight into both the history and present-day life in the city - highly recommended.
An easy to find meeting place was notified and we met and were conducted in the morning through and around buildings with a rich and interesting history as to their cosntruction and ownership. A gentle pace was set. We stopped for lunch (not included) and then went to the cemetary - again a tapestry of events and stories relating to the various tombs without which it would not have been halkf so interesting. WE did cut out of the tour early as it was so hot and we were by an Art Gallery whihc had some impressionist painting I wanted to see.
Do wear comfortable shoes, sunblock and a hat. A very good way to get a feel of Buenos Aires, the culture, way of ife and its history in a short period.
This is the one "Must Do" tour in Buenos Aries. If you can walk, take it. Our guide. as I, had more than a bit of gray hair and lived through many of the periods we all know about Argentina. His knowledge of the history of the country was outstanding and helped explain many of the customs and questions that we had about the country and its culture. His personal insight and opinions moved the tour away from just reading an official tour guide or canned talk to providing some understanding what makes Argentina and its people tick. Having lived in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. our guide's English was perfect and his experience provided him the knowledge to contrast the Argentinean politics and culture with that of the other countries.
Great tour, very interesting and the guides were really knowledgable
Would definitely recommend
Extremely informative! Our guide knew his city and shared many stories, historical ones along with personal. Loved the tour.
Brilliant! Knowledgable guide, hit the highlights. Very enjoyable.
Highlight of our time in BA! Carlos was open, honest and very insightful. If only our Rio your was 10% as good as this one.
The guide was very informative, very well spoken with excellent English. Though he asked us to use a taxi on our own to go from one area to other, but was very efficient. We enjoyed it great deal.
The best (?) way to see Buenos Aires highlights and get good information if you only have a day to spare. Guide was knowledgeable and pleasant. But be prepared to walk for a day in a hot and buzzling city so think about your clothes shoes before you set out and drink lots of water during the tour!
Note from Viator: To avoid discomfort on the tour, we recommend that you bring water and wear comfortable clothing. Temperatures in Buenos Aires during the summer can get quite hot, so water is essential.
