Small-Group Insider Food Tour of Buenos Aires

Try traditional Argentine treats!

Depending on the day, this relaxed and social foodie walking tour takes you to the tree-lined avenues of Palermo’s Las Cañitas or the historic, cobblestone streets of San Telmo.

Your first stop is a traditional hole-in-the-wall street food vendor. Here’ll you’ll taste one of the most popular takeaway snacks in Buenos Aires: a chorizo sausage sandwich called a choripan. After the first stop, you'll make your way to restaurant number two on foot, where you'll try an Argentine favorite - a handmade meat and pastry empanada.

Next stop is a local restaurant, filled with regular customers, where you’ll taste a range of grilled cuts of meat called parrilla, served with salad and a glass of wine. To finish on a sweet note, you’ll taste Argentina’s famous artisanal ice cream.

Guide was knowledegable and very enthusiastic. First stop included an incredible house made chorizo. Second for a great empanada. Next stop was a small 'secret' restaurant in one of the neighborhoods that doesn't serve tourists, only locals, and had a fabulous steak lunch. And we rounded it out with excellent gelato.
