Being a koala addict, I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Breakfast was very good, with the bonus of having koalas nearby to charm us. Got to hold a koala at the koala exhibit! The other areas of the zoo were also enjoyable.
Nice drive from Cairns especially when a rainstorm is around( spectacular) Free birdshow at zoo well run,the different species of birds performing quite clever tricks and well trained by the handlers.
different and interesting staff excellent especially "cyclone anne" who went out of her way to help me after i injured myself the day before at Kuranda all the animals were interesting being different to other zoos
We arrived at the zoo with 3 kids expecting to have a wait, we were quickly checked in and seated in the restaurant for breakfast within minutes, the table was already set up for us with a high chair. The food was excellent, the children were welcome, the zoo was beautiful lots of shade, lots of paths to walk on, hardly any stairs. They even had prams to hire. Very good day out.
you can't hold koalas in sydney area, so Cairns was great for this! absolutely loved seeing native animals, especially the cassowary! we thought a half day was plenty to see the zoo; definitely catch the bird show!
We had breakfast with a Koala and a Cockatoo!! The food was lovely and fresh and the staff were more than accommodating. The animals were varied so we got to see not only the natives but some of the exotics. The zoo looks a little old and a little run down but it is very clean and the shows they put on for the tourists are a lot of fun. Our kids loved feeding the kangaroos and patting them so that was a buzz.. Great day out for all ages!!
We enjoyed the morning breakfast with the Koala's, they were a pleasure to see, and the food buffet, was also very good, the folks there were very friendly as well, I would recommend this highly, the bird show was awesome to see also. thanks so much.
The zoo was great. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff and information given were terrific. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our day.
This was great!! The zoo is not to be missed we had the chance to hand-feed kangaroos and "cuddle" a koala for a photo. There is a good variety of wildlife here. The zookeepers are very knowledgeable and love the animals watching them interact was great. Having the pick-up as part of this package saved a good deal of money versus taking a taxi. Really fun trip!
Wowowow!! As I like Koalas so much, it's really a great chance for me to touch and understand more the nature of Koala, very interactive. Interesting! After the breakfast, I can go to another areas to see other animals.
Fantastic morning, great experience, do not miss this!
It was lovely to meet a koala as our breakfast companion. The Zoo is a nice small zoo, easily covered in 3 hours. The bird show is worth catching, its not every day you get to meet a Brolga! A very easy way to see the zoo, as it is a little out of town.
Tropical Zoo was nice. My son enjoyed feeding the Kangaroos. Breakfast was awesome. Transportations was quick and easy. Four hours at zoo was a little long but overall really enjoyed.
This is a great Sunday excursion. It was too cool to be eating breakfast and seeing a koala bear beside your table in a tree.
One of the few zoos where you can actually get hands on with the animals. Bird show was amazing, spent ages with the kangaroos and all in all thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was enjoyable. Have a nice breakfast and then see the Zoo during the day. Would do it again but with a companion
When we arrived at the Zoo around 9.15am, the breakfast food would have been out for the start of breakfast at 8.30am so all the hot food was cold. My grand-daughter had the waffles which she said were cold (expecting warm), but the cream and ice cream was warm (not cold). All in all we weren't really impressed with the breakfast and felt the cost to visit the Zoo with breakfast was too high. My grand-daughter did enjoy seeing all the different animals.
I enjoyed the zoo, but if I had to do next time would skip the breakfast part and just pay for the zoo.
I was under the impression that we were having a guide. Not so, but zoo was alright. By the time driver got us to the zoo we only had half hour to eat at the buffet, not good. All in all, holding a koala made it worth it!
