This tour company is wonderful to work with. I wasn't paying attention when I originally booked the tour so subsequently I had booked this tour for the wrong date. One phone call to the office and the situation was quickly rectified. The tour itself was wonderful. Upon arrival at the boat we were greeted by a very cheerful staff and a breakfast buffet of coffee, tea, fresh fruits and pastries. We were quickly made to feel at home and that atmosphere continued throughout the whole day. The staff were more than accomodating, there was a constant supply of food and drinks all day long and the snorkeling on the reef was incredible. The included glass bottom boat ride was a nice unexpected bonus too. Upon exiting the boat, the staff lined up on the dock and each and every one of them thanked us for spending the day with them. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to spend a relaxing day on the reef with a great group of people.
Great experience! The staff was very friendly, professional, an helpful. Lots of food and fun. The reef is beautiful. I only had one day and very glad I took this tour.
I had a fantastic time, met friendly people on the tour, ate an awesome meal and snacks and met the funniest and awesome tour guides. I love snorkeling at the two different reef sites. It was such a fun experience that I want to do it again but scuba diving next time!
The tour was fantastic. From the moment we checked in, the fabulous crew made sure that we had the best day we possibly could. There were only 49 pax on the trip, so plenty of room on the boat. Everything was explained , and nothing was a trouble, you only had to ask. We were even persuaded into doing the introductory dive, and it was amazing. Our instructor Kelly, ensured we understood and were capable of doing the dive. Then she went that extra step to take food with her so that we could hand feed the fish on the dive. We saw Nemo, held huge sea cucumbers, blue star fish, and even had a sting ray settle on the sea bed just in front of us. The one on one time with all of the instructors was so good - pretty sure you would not get this sort of attention elsewhere. Whether is was snorkelling, diving or the glass bottom boat, the instructors were always on hand to help and were very informative. The food was good too, plenty of it if you wanted seconds. I would recommend this tour to anyone, fantastic value for money. Next time we will do the sailing trip to Green Island - cannot wait!!
Thanks Perry, Leila, Kelly, Johnny and crew - sensational!
The most fantastic tour!
Perry and his crew were absolutely brilliant, taking our group out to a fantastic part of the secluded reef, small group, allowing all guests to learn how to scuba dive on the reef with no experience required or just snorkel and the staff were so helpful. and friendly. Unreal day!
They were wonderful! They were entertaining and always made sure we had what we needed. They also got in the water to teach my daughter how to snorkel. The food was plentiful, the attitudes were fabulous! The Great Bartier Reef was AMAZING! Money well spent for sure! I would recommend this tour to anyone, but especially if you have kids! It is a great family atmosphere!
The trip on the barrier Reef was absolutely excellent. Firstly the boat was the right size and the crew excellent, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. All safety aspects were gone through and the equipment available from sting suits, floatation jackets, fins, masks and snorkels were of good condition. Breakfast was great with unlimited tea/coffee available throughout the trip. A bar was there and the prices were not a ripoff. The lunch was excellent, followed on the way back by fruit, cheese and biscuits finally slices of cake. An excellent glass bottomed boat trip of the reef with a very knowledgeable skipper. The two areas of the reef they took us to, there were only two boats there, so you were very private. There are only two points I would make. More information needs to be given regarding were to park and the costs. The carpark we used we had to pay in coins only and were chaseing round for 10 dollars in coins. Also were you need to go to check-in. We were then told there was an underground carpark which took credit cards. Other than this I would reccomend this trip to anybody. We would certainly use this company again.
Brilliant, was a lovely amount of people and the crew were amazing. bit rocky on the way out but that was compencated by the length of time out. We loved the fact the crew got in the water and assisted the less confident people and took us on tours to see the good stuff. we felt safe and valued throughtout the trip.
Very well organized tour with a very friendly crew.
Long line to check in in the morning, but once you get through that is smoot sailing. The boat was very clean and confortable, the ride was very smooth, and the food was surprisingly good. But, what makes this company special is their staff. All the crew in our trip was extremely friendly and they all seemed to be having a great time. They took great care of all of us.
We are certified divers and did two dives with them. Even though there were abbout 40 people in the bota, only 13-15 were doing the dives for certified divers and they divided us in 3 small groups, which made the experience more enjoyable. All the equipment was in good order and we felt very comfortable with our diving guide.
The only negative about this trip is that about 70-75% of all the coral we saw was dead. We don't know if this is a problem only around some of the most commonly dived reefs there, or if this is a more widespread problem all around Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef. If this is more of a local problem, they should choose a better diving location. If this is a more widespread problem, then, obviously, there is nothing this company can do about it.
The ship was good, but only the tour operator knows why people should arrive one hour before boarding. And then we were still waiting until all the divers had signed the papers. The crew was nice, they served plenty of food for breakfast, lunch and even cake and fruits during the afternoon. Somes guides were good and explaining a lot, some not. The only thing to complain was that the first stop was only worth for divers, while the second was also great for snorkering. If I would only go for a snorkeling trip I would book with another tour operator. There is just one thing to complain. We were in the middle of the stinger season and the guides only recommended stinger suites. Some of them as well as guests went into the water without stinger suits, I found it really irresponsible.
Very good. The two dives were made at the same location so there was nothing new to see.
I expected a better snorkeling experience, probably the location where we stopped wasn't as gorgeous
The overall experience of snorkelling, scuba diving and seeing the barrier reef was good and well worth the trip. The instructors were very friendly and patient. However, the term "luxury" is a little misleading as the boat and food, while perfectly adaquate, was nothing special. There were only 30 passengers on the day so it was very comfortable with plenty of room but I imagine it would be very crowded in peak season when the cruise is fully booked.
