This trip was exceptional. I recommend skipping the buffet lunch on the boat and saving money for renting beach chairs and umbrella. The island has a few eateries you can grab food from without having to battle long queues on the boat. And I know 30 AU seems steep for two deck chairs and a umbrella, but it's WELL worth it whilst out on the reef. We loved snorkeling here... we spotted three turtles, a sting ray, tons of fish and even saw a bit of a black-tipped coral reef shark from the glass bottom boat tour. Note - the boat tour is NOT in the same area as the swimmers. I felt perfectly safe snorkeling here. We enjoyed this tour so much, we wished we had more time here.
Great full day tour, loved it especially the snorkelling. It was good to have a choice of adding more options on the day like the helicopter or scuba diving. Very worth while and affordable with a great lunch included the only slow bit was the ride back.
Enjoyed this trip. Was amazing to see the difference of the water level from the time we arrived to the time we left with the tide going out. By end of trip, could get clear pics of reef from pier because of low tide. Took pics of sting ray, shark and the many fish, I totally recommend the lunch option and submersible sub. It was well worth it.
It was a great trip in a great location and offered a good mix of activities and time to do them
My husband and I had a lovely day but as we don't swim in hindsight it would have been better to only book the half day trip that goes in the faster boat as the big boat took over an hour to get there. We did the glass bottom boat to look at the reef and the feeding of the fish which was pretty amazing. Had a lovely lunch in the restaurant but there are a couple of other options.
We didn't have hotel pickup because we were very close to the Terminal, so one thing you need to know is you need to take your Viator print out to the Terminal to get the boat ticket, we did this the night before so we would not have to line up the next morning when it was busy.
It was a fantastic day for the family. Great weather. Children loved snorkeling and the island is a fantastic place to visit. We will be visiting Green Island again next time we are in Cairns
Wonderful day, excellent service and very helpful staff. 10 out of 10
Loved it! Great snorkling and comfortable boat ride. Lunch was below average on the boat.
We had an amazing day trip to Green
Island, the glass bottom boat trip was spectacular, would recommend it to everyone
Green Island, what a beautiful island especially the reef,it was amazing and so many fish.We booked the submarine and also the glass bottom boat, both of which were fantastic because the water was so clear and
the tour guide was throwing food into the water which brought even more fish around the boats,a must do
trip when you visit cairns. Also the skyrail to Kuranda, that was also a must do outing we had a wonderful 4 days.
Geoff and Donna N Brisbane.
it's good value and enjoyable trip especially for the first time experience for the reef!!
food was great , sea wonderful but visibility due to sand is not so well(maybe it was due to after rain), you can see turtle, stingray..
Wonderful day out! We left at 11, but an earlier dept is more subitable if you really want to live out the island!
Brilliant. Enormous variety of fish and turtles to see whilst snorkelling off the beautiful sandy beaches. I wish we had stayed overnight.
The glass bottom boat trip was great, we saw a lot of beautiful marine lifes, the buffet lunch was ok.
Ferry/catamaran cruise was good and so was the glass bottom boat. Good for trying snorkelling but not many fish or nice coral close to shore to view. Watch out for the cheeky birds that would like to steal your picnic lunch.
The most amazing day. We took Big Cat Cruises day tour including the buffet lunch, snorkeling equipment, glass bottom boat tour and the semi submarine tour.
Words can not describe what it is like snorkeling over the reef, the reef life is fascinating the fish are beautiful. The glass bottom boat gave us the opportunity to see the most beautiful sea turtles snuggled down in the rocks and coral and even little nemos !
The semi sub tour is quite fascinating you are about a metre below the surface and can lol,oat see 360 degrees around you, if you are claustrophobic I wouldn't suggest going in this because it is very cramped.
The staff from the check in counter at the terminal to all the staff in board were excellent, they couldn't be more helpful with info as to the best spots to snorkle helping with equipment etc.
The lunch served on board was plentiful with curry, stir fry, cold meats, salads and fresh fruit included there wasn't anything more you could need. It was all very yummy we got our plates and then say upstairs inside and looked across the reef to the island.
All in all an excellent day worth every single cent
Thank you Big Cat
