What You Can Expect
Follow your guide along trails that wander through pockets of rainforest, sugarcane fields and mangroves, and pause by a large watering hole to look for native wildlife like geese, birds and maybe even a crocodile. Then stop for a cup of billy tea, made the old-fashioned Aussie way over a campfire. When you return to the ranch, your tour ends with a hot dog lunch for morning departures or light snacks for the afternoon tour.
We had a great time Horseback riding! The staff from Blazing Saddles was wonderful. They met us at our ship and pointed out all the sights in Cairns to and from our riding experience. We were very happy!
Friendly and flexible staff. You are not able to take pictures. They have a photographer on staff.
Great day, wonderful staff, lots of fun, highly recommended!
Ladies and fella leading trip were professional, safety conscious and courteous. Nice ride but would have liked it to be longer. Horses well behaved
You get a one on one experience with a guide throughout the area. The horse I rode was tame. It was great fun.
Great guide! Different way to see the country, besides being in a bus!
we had a great time on this tour would do it again :)
Lovely tour. Felt a bit rushed as we arrived. Would be helpful if they listed the items we needed for riding or that we weren't allowed to bring cameras beforehand.
The tour was pretty plainish, worth for someone wants to experience to sit on the horse and let it walk around.
I didn't realize the trip would be so short; it was very difficult to tell from the website description about the length of the horseback ride. (We were in the saddle less than 1-1/4 hours). The guide was great, but we mostly made figure 8's through the sugar cane fields and a portion of the rainforest, and it was easy to tell we'd covered the same territory before. I did get to canter and trot a short bit, which was fun, and you don't always get to do that on a trail ride. I would have preferred a longer ride with a real "destination" as a goal.
