Kuranda Rail, Rainforestation and Skyrail Tour

Experience the rainforest beauty of Far North Queensland on a scenic day trip from Cairns. You’ll ride the Kuranda Scenic Railway, visit the Rainforestation Nature Park, take a Dreamtime Walk and cuddle a koala, then take an amazing ride on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.

On your breathtaking journey aboard the Kuranda Scenic Railway you’ll view the Barron Falls before arriving at Kuranda, where you’ll have free time to explore this lovely “Village in the Rainforest”.

Then it’s on to the Rainforestation Nature Park, where a number of unique activities await you. You’ll board an amphibious Army Duck for an unusual tour through the rainforest. An experienced guide will show you unique tropical fruits, ancient rainforest plants and point out native wildlife.

When you join the Dreamtime Walk you’ll gain insights into ancient Aboriginal and Islander history. You’ll learn about their way of life, try your hand at boomerang throwing and watch the Pamagirri Dancers perform traditional dances in the Rainforest Amphitheater.

After a delicious barbecue lunch you’ll visit the Koala and Wildlife Park, where you’ll see koalas, crocodiles, kangaroos, wallabies and a range of other native animals and reptiles.

Then it’s time to board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and glide over the rainforest canopy. Your journey ends at Caravonica Lakes, where your coach will be waiting to take you back to your hotel after a wonderful day in the rainforest.
