Our English speaking guide was great.

Another "must see" if you're in Cairo. The museum is a perfect follow-up trip to the pyramids, showcasing the artifacts previously housed within and adorning the exterior of the pyramids we'd visited the previous day. The mummy room exhibit is well worth the additional charge. It is the ONLY opportunity in the museum or in Cairo that we had to view actual mummies. With SO many thousands of items, we'd have traveled around the world, and left disappointed, never having seen the most important highlights had we NOT booked a personal guide. Our Egyptologist guide, a Cairo native, was fabulous! He was not only a never-ending encyclopedia on EVERY aspect of Egyptian culture, past and present, he was one of the most personable individuals I've had the pleasure to meet! Few people who are THAT intellectual have a capacity to relate to PEOPLE, let alone a gift for it! It was with tremendous respect and a lump in our throat that we bid farewell to him. Our dream of experiencing Egypt had come true in a most enchanting manner. Our deepest thanks to him, and to Viator!

The Egyptian Museum is fantastic. There is a lot to see. I recommend paying the extra to see the mummies room. Tutankhamon treasures are a must-see. Simply amazing!

Our guide was great. I have wanted to visit the museum for some years, and I was not disappointed. I would have no doubts about recommending Viator.

Too much to see in such a short time, but still worth the visit. Paid the extra to see the "mummy's" room and that was great.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. He took his time with all of the exhibits and gave us plenty of time to look on our own. He was very patient with all of our questions. He even helped us with our cameras and getting our included entrance fees. He took care of absolutely everything. Our driver was very safe and the vehicle was new.

Very good. The guide whisked us to the most popular exhibits in the museum and was very knowledgeable when we asked questions. We regret we did not see as much as we should but it was very warm and tiring in the museum.

Guide was knowledgeable and the museum was excellent. Pay the extra money to see the mummies.

While the museum itself is a little dated, the King Tut exhibit is worth it on its own. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and tailored the tour to things we were interested in!

The museum definitely requires a guide, but ours looked somewhat bored, didn't really answer our questions very well, and gave us very little information. The van, however, was very comfortable.

I do not recommend doing this with a paid tour. You can get to the museum easily by taxi by yourself. The tour guide was not necessary at all because if you know how to read English then you can take your time and look at everything just fine.
