tour was fantastic, we had a great tour guide, cannot remember her name but she was great, made sure she gave us all the info in the air conditioned car or standing in the shade then we were left to explore the sights on our own. she also helped us get some freebies when we brought some perfume which was very nice. we loved the tour, very highly recommended! just make sure you take small Egyptian pound notes to pay for entry to pyramid and camel ride.
United Arab Emirates
Excellent tour with great guide Rania who was very knowledgeable about location and cultural aspects. She made sure our two boys were involved and made it intersting for them. Highly recommend Viatour for this trip.
a must see while in Cairo. Our guide was very informative and was able to answer all questions we had.
Amazing, just make sure you can get inside the pyramids it is a unique experience.
Mahmoud was an excellent Guide. Made the trip stress and worry free and completely enjoyable. Very flexible and knowledgeable!!!
The culmination of a life long desire to see the various sites. We were disappointed that the Sphinx is condemned to look at Pizza Parlour but that is not your fault.
The tour overall was amazing! You have an exclusive and very comfortable ride all throughout the tour. The tour-guide was very friendly, accomodating, and informative. All the sites visited were magnificent and awe-inspiring especially the Pyramids of Giza. And most of all, you are in control of your time for the whole duration of the tour! I highly recommend this tour especially for group of friends!
Loved every minute of this trip. Guide was very friendly and knew what she was talking about. The highlight for me was the visit to Sakkara. Wonderful!
Great value for the cost. We felt extremely safe, learned so much, and couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. My boyfriend and I were going to Cairo for the first time and were very unsure where to book tours. Took a chance on Viator and ended up booking more tours with them once we arrived. They were awesome all around! Learned a ton, had fun, saw so much and really felt taken care of from transportation to overall safety etc. If you're unsure about where to book a tour but want to see a lot, I highly recommend this tour!
Viator is the best! The private tour is very comfortable. Having a tour guide there for only "you" gives you more flexibility to go where and when you want. And having lunch included, we weren't bothered with where to eat. Had an Egyptian meal, which was plenty of food. The tour guide told us about the rug schools, and we asked to see one. BIG MISTAKE. The rugs are not good quality at all and the prices are outrageous. It's a tourist trap. Another mistake, was going to the perfume oils shop. Another tourist trap and very over priced. You can get the same oils on the internet and save a bundle. It was our choice to go, but wish we hadn't. We went also to a cotton store, and that was a good experience. Back to the pyramids, a memorable tour and we are very glad that we had our own tour guide and driver to maneuver the crowds of people and traffic. Our driver was excellent and the tour guide a delight. She offered and took excellent pictures of us at the amazing pyramids. Her English was very good, she appeared to be interested in us, and we felt very comfortable. The day would have been perfect, if we hadn't stopped at the rug school and perfume shop.
Fantastic sights, great lunch and the local guide was well informed and friendly and helped to make this a truly memorable day.
Our guide was really fantastic. He has a great knowledge of Egypt and was very happy to share it. He gave us enough time to explore things on our own after setting the scene with his narratives. The driver was excellent, glad I wasn't driving in and around Cairo! All in all this was a wonderful tour.
Very glad we included Sakkara as we found it much less crowded than Giza and we were able to go inside one of the pyramids and a tomb without any difficulty. Memphis is really just a small outdoor museum and merely the site of the original city so not much to see.
