Whitewater raft in the heart of the California Gold Country. Our Rafting and Wine Tasting Day Tour takes you into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Descend 8 miles of the American River down Class III rapids such as Meat Grinder, Triple Threat and Troublemaker. During the trip you will float past the historic gold discovery site of Sutter's Mill. After an exciting day of whitewater rafting you can enjoy a glass of California wine before heading back to the city by the bay.

Sunday, Tuesday and Friday Departure Point: Passengers will be picked-up from their hotel between approximately 6:15am and 6:30am, depending on the hotel location. Departure Time: 6:15am - 6:30am Hotel Pickup: Passengers will be picked-up from their Downtown and Fisherman's Wharf area hotel between approximately 6:15am - 6:30am, depending on the hotel location. Please enter the name and address of your hotel at time of booking. If you do not indicate your hotel for pick up at the time of booking, please call the tour operator and advise them of this information directly, at least 24 hours prior to tour date. - Wine tasters must be 21 years of age
- Just about anyone in reasonable health and fitness can go rafting
- The minimum age for a child on a Class III river (under normal water flows) is 8 years old (and a minimum weight of 55 pounds) and 14 years old on a Class IV river
- There is no maximum age although anyone over 60 should be in good health and perhaps consult with your physician if you have any concerns
- Swimming skills are not a requirement since your safety jacket will keep you afloat but it is recommended that you not have a fear of the water
- This trip is not recommended if you are pregnant, extremely overweight, or have back or heart problems
Physical Requirements for Whitewater Rafting:
Minimum 20% cancellation fee on all booking will be charged
Less than 72 hours 30% cancellation will be charged
Less than 24 hours and no shows will be charged in full amount
