This is one of the best kept secrets of San Francisco. A magical insight into the cafes, bakeries and coffee shops of the stunning North Beach area. It is personally one of my favourite areas of San Francisco, and I found the food on this tour absolutely exquisite. I still have cravings for the mouthwatering handmade French chocolates. Yum. This is not your typical run-of-the-mill tour - it is guided by a passionate tour guide who seems to know the who's who of North Beach, and knows all there is to know about North Beach.

I don't usually do tours, but decided to do this one. I am soooo glad I did as it was excellent! Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. Good group size also, not too many people. I am definitely going to do this one again! Also, EXCELLENT FOOD!

Had a great time! Why we've never gone exploring through there before I don't know We definitely have new favorite restaurants, chocolate and bakery shops to visit when we go back. Thanks!!

Our guide was great, giving history of the area while we enjoyed the many fine treats. The bakery oven was fascinating as was our lesson on coffee beans and olive oil. What a great way to get a feel for the neighborhood, past to present.

It started out a little slow. But we ate several different tastes and all were very good. Plus we learned quite a bit about types of ovens used for cooking, how coffee beans are roasted, etc, and some key sights in the area. I would recommend this to anyone for eating and learning a lot about North Beach.

We had a great time. Ahh, SF, though we've lived here forever, there's nothing like a new perspective.

It was okay.

I thought that this was mainly a culinary tour emphasizing the Italian foods in San Francisco and North Beach, but I didn't experience that at all. The attempt was made but the stops were barely Italian whether at the bakery, deli or restaurant.
