Your day will begin with a hotel pick-up from central San Francisco followed by a drive through the San Joaquin Valley, gold country and up into the Sierra Nevada range to Yosemite National Park where you will get to spend 5 to 6 hours! Once in the valley there are activities to suit everyone - hike to one of Yosemite's waterfalls or watch the climbers on El Capitan; rent bikes for a relaxing cycle on the flat bike paths throughout the valley; take the shuttle buses around the loop and hop on hop off for different views and trails, in summer take your swimming gear and cool off in lovely river pools; or relax at the visitor's center where there are museums, restaurants, and the Ansel Adams Gallery to inspire every amateur photographer. There's also a chance you will see a black bear during the day.

After lunch you will be driven to one of the Giant Sequoia groves, stopping on the way to get a bird's eye view of the whole valley. Many consider the giant sequoia trees the largest of all living things, with some towering over 300 feet (91 meters) with tree trunks of 40 feet (12 meters) in diameter! Here, you will have the opportunity to go on a short 2 mile (1 hour) hike through the Giant Sequoia grove walking through (literally) one of these colossals, or choose to relax in the picnic area.

When it's time to head back to San Francisco, you will drive down the Sierra Nevada, descending over 2000 feet and passing through Stanislaus National Forest. There will be a stop along the way for a break and a bite to eat, and then you'll be back in San Francisco, enjoying views of the sunset over the East Bay hills, the Peninsula and the city lights where your tour will end with a drop off at your hotel.

Please note the weather is Yosemite is highly variable and includes rain and snow in winter and high temperatures in summer. Itinerary may be adapted to make the most of Yosemite during different seasons and times of the year.

• It is recommended to check the weather forecast before this trip and dress appropriately, in summer it can be over 90 - 100 degrees and you may want to take swimming gear with you to cool down, in winter you may be in snow.
• During the Winter Months - please wear winter clothes, especially shoes or boots with rubber soles and treads, are recommended. We will always do what we can to make your trip enjoyable, but safety is “Job 1”, so the route and itinerary may be changed due to snow depth, road conditions, construction projects and detours.
• Note: The Giant Sequoias hike on the Yosemite Tour is dependent on snow levels and trail conditions from October to April.
