It was such a fantastic visit to Capilano Suspension Bridge! My friend from Washington D.C. and our family had a wonderful time. It's been more than a decade since our last visit, and my gosh, it has changed so much! We love it!
Truly beautiful location and spectacular scenery and the tourist facilities at this site at top notch. Visiting Capilano suspension bridge and cliff walk was one of the highlights of our holiday. Totally recommend a visit to this location by anyone visiting Vancouver
What an amazing experience! We were greeted by guides in period costumes who told us the history of the bridge and information about the rain forest and the wildlife. The views from the bridge, both up at the tree tops and down into the gorge were stunning. As we continued through the forest we were continually amazed by what we saw. The information boards throughout were easy to read and enhanced the experience.
The driver on the shuttle bus going back to downtown continued the experience with an interesting commentary during the journey.
Only a small negative comment - the information we received did not give all the pick-up points for the shuttle bus so there was one near to our hotel that we did not know about and we had quite a walk to get to it.
There were free shuttles in front of the hotel where we stayed. Capita no suspension bridge is very impressive and something new to us. Young kids to elderly people would enjoy it.
Trip went perfectly. We just got the free shuttle transfer from Canada Place, which goes frequently. It is easy to spot and there are plenty of guides around to tell you when the next one is. We just handed our voucher in to the desk on arrival at Capilano. What a beautiful place. I was scared to do the bridge as I have a terrible fear of heights but I managed to conquer it, albeit by holding on to the rail all the way across. The treetops walk is easy to do and not too vigorous. I did however freeze at the cliff top walk but my Husband did it. You still can watch them and get some great views. Go later in the afternoon when any early morning mist has cleared. There are a couple of eating places there, and a lovely shop which used to be the team rooms. A thoroughly enjoyable trip, with no time limit as you could stay all day. Just hopped onto the return shuttle which left directly outside. Great value.
What an amazing place...well worth doing if you have the time. So easy to get there and back and such a pleasant trip.
Great day out. Do the free tours, well worth it. Note that he shuttle is free weather you ok in advance or not.
Espectacular. Cruzar el puente colgante para sumergirse en un bosque de pinos gigantes y caminar entre y alrededor de ellos fue impresionante.
This was a great stop as we passed through the city. I loved the way nature is blended into the attraction.
If you love nature, don't miss this! The suspension bridge is awesome in its construction, and the views are great. Take your time as the is three separate activities. There is an outdoor food establishment and a gift shop. We took the free bus from Canada Place after a cruise. You can leave your luggage at the cruise terminal ($6 or $7 each bag).
Walk across the bridge and marvel at the bridge itself. We saw people rushing but this is worth savoring. We walked with a guide on a short nature hike once we crossed the bridge, then did the treetop walk and viewed these trees from a Birdseye prospective. We were there on a weekday and it wasn't too crowded. When you finish that side of the gorge, walk back across the bridge and go to the left where you will see entrance to the cliff walk. I don't know what impressed me more, the natural beauty of the river, gorge and trees or the structure itself. It is very safe and beautifully done. When you complete your walk, there is still more! Your path continues through the forest in a rock garden with several water features and even some educational material and interactive areas along the way.
Visiting Capilano Suspension Bridge is a must when in Vancouver! With a free 20min shuttle ride from downtown, you'll be in a forest of giant pine trees and amazing views with fresh clean air to breathe in. We truly enjoyed our morning at Capilano Suspension Bridge... followed by an afternoon at nearby Grouse Mountain.
