Chichen Itza is a mystical place. Our tour guide there was awesome. We would have preferred the shopping portion to be a little shorter in favor of more time in Chichen Itza, but it was a fantastic all day trip.

Nice tour guide, price is fair it will bring you door to door with a Mexican style buffet lunch. No compulsory shopping!!

Well organized, punctual and complete tour. You get what you book for, no last minute surprises. Pick up from hotel, visit to cenote (you can swim if you want to), shopping (too pricy) and lunch buffet same place (no drinks included), visit to Chichen Itza: AMAZING!! and drop off at the hotel.

I'm a history teacher and could not wait for this trip and it was just wonderful. We began by having the best tour guide I have ever had. Now I've heard of other guides who lead this excursion and know that our guide was very very special. His name is Ruben and meeting him was a highlight of our entire trip to Cancun. Being a teacher, I have a lot of background knowledge about the Mayan culture, but he still taught me many things I didn't know and just had the neatest demeanor. He really was fantastic and if there's a way to request him specially, DO IT! He made the 2 hour drive inland seem only minutes, and we had soon arrived at the Cenote. It was incredible, absolutely magical. It is literally a giant cave filled with water where you can swim. Or you can also just dip in your feet which is what I did and greatly enjoyed. Then you are taken to a Mayan Village which is just a tourist trap. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING! It is not hand made- you'll see the exact same items at Chichen Itza where things are one tenth the cost. I worked in a Mexican Import store for years and am very familiar with most of those items and can assure you that they're imported. The lunch at the Mayan Village is OK, but too much time is spent there. The highlight, of course, is Chichen Itza itself. I was blown away. A quick tip- ditch the "tour guide" and explore on your own. There is definitely not enough time there, but it is a great trip!

Phoned to confirm pick up times and was offered the private tour for $10 extra. Very interesting tour. Guide was translating from spanish to english, which was confusing, but he was very knowledgable and interesting. I recomment the tour, but the private tour took 11hrs from pick up to return rather than the 8 listed

This was my second Viator tour (the first was in Paris) and I would not hesitate to use and wholeheartedly recommend them at any time. The arrangements for Chichen Itza were very well organized and our guides both on the bus and at Chichen Itza were knowledgable, personable and passionate, making our trip informative and VERY enjoyable. While the site and history of Chichen Itza are truly amazing and totally worth the trip, we found the stop at the sacred ceynote a beautiful addition to the tour and one we would never have seen or known about were it not for our Viator adventure. Our day trip to Chichen Itza was, undoubtedly, our favorite day of our Cancun vacation.

This tour was fantastic! This was my 4th trip here as a photographer and brought a friend along who was visiting for the first time and she loved the place! The entire process from the hotel pick up to the location points of our visit were perfect. The guide (Cristian) did a marvelous job in explaining the tour and the history of what we were going to visit and see. A trip to Chichen-Itza is a must for any visitors to Cancun. Without the visit you will be missing an important element from your trip. It is well worth the trip to see this new wonder of the world! I'm already planning a 5th trip for 2013 and taking some new visitors......
