What You Can Expect
Accessing the ruins through Mayaland's private entrance, your small tour group will head straight to the best parts of Chichen Itza without waiting in line. During this 2-hour tour, learn about the cultural, historical and archaeological highlights of the various temples and structures in the ruins. Visit the Pyramid of Kukulcán, the nunnery, the ball court and the observatory. When you part with your guide, explore further at your own pace or head back to the Mayaland Resort.
Enjoy a lunch buffet of Mexican, Yucatecan and international dishes, then choose to head back to the ruins or relax at the resort. Swim in the pool, stroll though the botanical gardens, or visit Xtoloc Cenote, a sacred sinkhole located on the hotel grounds.
Be Maya Planetarium upgrade:
In the evening, stop at the Be Maya Planetarium. View a show that teaches about Mayan civilization and the Maya skies, along with history and mythology.
We had an issue with the planetarium option not taking place, but with a little debate were able to get a refund from the establishment. We enjoyed the small group aspect, being in a van instead of on a bus, and our guide was excellent with very good English and excellent knowledge of both the site and Mayan and Mexican history in general. Good trip for history nerds like us, but very hot when standing out in the sun. We were the only 2 to make it to the end of the tour with the guide. Everyone else dropped out to hide in shade or shop with the vendors who line the paths between structures.
Easy to arrange. PU was on time. The guide was not intrusive and very informative. The vehicle was comfortable. The arranged meal was great and the company dropped us off very close to our accommodation on return which was great as it was a long day.
Good value for the price. Chichen itza should not be missed.
We Really liked this tour
The tour was amazing, worth every penny- our guide was so awesome and informative, and the lunch was great too- bomb tacos with handmade tortillas! The transportation was easy and great- it was only trying to contact Viator rather than the tour company that was bad- had a question but was on hold with them for 20mins before giving up- so take note of the name of the tour company so you don't have to call Viator.
Our tour was excellent! Our guide Carlos was very informative and knowledgeable. He is very passionate about his work that was extremely obvious. You were very accommodating as we needed to change the date of our tour. The tour bus was comfortable and right on time!
Everything went smoothly. Transportation was comfortable. The guide was very knowledgeable. He had put together a binder of examples of what he was talking about which made to easier to visualize things that were no longer there.
Mauricio is an amazing tour guide and educated us well beyond what I heard other guides talking about. He puts a lot of energy into his presentations and often has people from other groups watching.
We had a blast. Transportation and lunch were great, and of course the site is amazing.
Mauricio , our guide was excellent. He is well informed. The service was excellent.
Our tour guide Mauricio was great and Roberto was a great driver. Overall great experience. Viator and Mayaland are amazing!
