Well worth the time to do this tour. guide very knowledgeable / helpful. crowds are annoying. being able to re-enter the site on your own is really great and the crowds had decreased making it more pleasant. worth the effort.
Carlos was the guide and Oscar was the driver. Very professional. On time and the van was new and nice. Very careful and safe driver. Carlos was courteous and informative. Highly recommend
Great tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Tour was on time. Bus was clean and ac worked fine. Wear comfortable shoes as there is quite a bit of walking. If you are in the Cancun area and haven't seen Chichen Itza, it is well worth seeing.
Excellent world heritage - a must see. Great construction demonstrating the Mayans grasp of Math and Science and Engineering in about thousand year BC. The tour guide from the tour company was excellent in narration and detail. The small van tour was private and personal and the hotel entrance is great. Food was good quality, but can be of more variety. Not enough time to access pool etc at Mayaland hotel. Overall best way of experiencing Chchen Itza
Great..?Our tour guide Mauricio was very knowledgeable and interesting.
WOW, this was amazing.
Very well organised.
Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Facilities were excellent and good food selection for a vegan.
Loads of time to explore and take photos.
This was an awesome tour! If you are planning on visiting Chichen Itza do yourself a favor, spend the extra money and book the small-group tour. My wife and I went in October of 2014 and our tour had 11 total people, which is much better than the 40+ you will get on the tour busses. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. At lunch at highly recommend the pork tacos with the handmade tortillas. The driver and tour guide were friendly, knowledgeable and made the tour a great experience we will never forget.
What an adventure! My husband and I booked the small group tour. There were about 15 of us on that tour that day. It was about a two and half hour shuttle ride from the resort to the site. Our tour guide, Juan Carlos, was wonderful. He had a great sense of humor and you can tell he really loves his job. Once there we got right down to business making the rounds of the site. It is an amazing place with such an amazing story. I can tell you, I learned a lot. Along the tour route there are plenty of vendors so one can do a little shopping. After the tour was over, we had a wonderful buffet lunch complete with dancers at the Maya Land Hotel which sits right on the grounds as well. The hotel is beautiful. We also had free run of the facilities for a couple of hours before leaving for the trip back. I would highly recommend this tour. It was educational and we met some really nice people :)
We had an older gentleman named Carlos, he was outstanding in presenting all of the places of the ruins. The ruins themselves were gorgeous. The only thing that I would change is the actual GUESTS. Many of them were extremely rude to this tour guide. As he tried to speak to the group, he had made a deal with all of the guests in the group that he would speak in Spanish first and the English speakers can wander closely, then vice versa. Many people in the group that we were in would just wonder far off or talk to each other and not even listen to him. As far as the tour itself, it was very informing and made you want to know more. The food at the hotel was delicious, and the Mayan Planetarium was very neat!
An amazing experience I went in mid August and there weren't large groups. It was organzied and we were provided with umbrellas. I wish we had more time to continue to explore, but the tour is very interesting. You see a cenote, but ONLY the sacred one. With this tour cenote swim is NOT included.
Great Tour. Was very comfortable for me and my two children of 5 and 7.
Very educational. We had wonderful guide. Lots of areas without shade so remember sunblock. If your bus driver offers an umbrella, take him up on it!
Our guide was very informative about the Mayan history and the history behind the ruins. The handmade tortillas with pork were amazing. The guide gave all of us a enough free time to do whatever, and we did Mayan planetarium. It was a great experience and I recommend to do chitchen itza before tulum
Excellent tour from beginning to end! Our guide was very engaging with our group and was very informative. Having done a previous tour of Chichen Itza with a different tour operator, this was above and beyond my expectations! The private entrance, the lunch at the hotel and then being left to be on your own afterwards makes this THE tour to take!
