Thanks to Felix our driver and Manuel our tour guide we had a great day. I would recommend this tour to anyone going to Chichen Itza. Having your own driver and van was key. The ability to do what ever you want when you want made a full day tour perfect.
We've been to the Mayan ruins in Belize (Lamanai) and Guatemala (Tikal), which are quite impressive. I was impressed with what we found at Chichen Itza. The only difference, and drawback we found in the Yucatan site was the vast number of aggressive vendors trying to sell souvenirs (mostly mass produced junk too). We found one local artist there, Efrain Cetz, who produced very high quality wood carvings. The tour will be vastly more enjoyable if you read some books on Mayan culture before you arrive.
This was fantastic. This is the best way to see Chichen Itzá. Great personal service. I loved it.
Fantastic tour, the personal service really suited us with a young family. Our driver Loredo was incredibly attentive and made sure we got the best out of the day. The tour included not only chic hen Itza but also a lovely swim in a cenote and a visit to town of historical interest. We would highly recommend this private tour.
My family of 5 had a great private tour to chichenitza. Our driver Raul Asolar? was fantastic. He drove, took photos, and made great recommendations for a things to do on the way back to cancun. We stoped at a beautiful cenote to swim and have lunch and then went to playa del Carmen to window shop.
This was, without a doubt, the best way to get to Chichen Itza. Cancun is very spread out, so this saved us such a lot of time avoiding lots of hotel pick-ups, enabling us to spend that time exploring Chichen Itza instead. Highly recommend..
I can't do a reasonable review in this few words. If you want more detail, email me. Trip was fine, we were surprised it didn't include a tour at Chichen Itza and almost didn't have enough money to engage a guide there. Even though it's not promised, make that more explicit in your tour description.
Very nice excursion. Good lunch. Cenote very crowded. Guide was nice, gave us the option to guide at the site or not.
Excellent trip - did away with the time-consuming multi-hotel group bus trip by getting the private minivan. They were prompt, we owned our schedule, got a great tour guide at the site, and even the stop at the cenote exceeded expectations! My only suggestion would be for a more-authentic lunch offering - it was nice to sit down near the cenote but the buffet was merely good.
