Spot on - great tour in keeping will most of your tours. Great to have such an expert explain all to us before the crowds arrived. Only down side was it took an eternity to collect everyone as bus was unable to access the front of the hotels and the guide had to walk up to the lobbies to fetch everyone. Wondered why they could'nt come down to meet the bus,
Great express tour of chichen itza. Only spent a little over 3 hours at the historic site, but felt like we got a lot of information in that time. Frank was our tour guide and was absolutely awesome. Very informative and knowledgeable. Will deff book another tour to chichen itza next visit to Mexico
Despite the early start, which was probably the only thing I was dreading, the tour was very good! Highly informational. We were one of the first groups there, were able to take pictures before it was very crowded.
Freddy, our guide was very knowledgable and shared interesting facts and information about the place. Jacinto, the driver was also very friendly and cheerful.
Our guide was incredibly generous with his time and knowledge. We had the opportunity to learn more about the Maya and the city than we expected to.
It was outstanding. We took the early morning trip and returned around 2:30 in the afternoon. I highly recommend the early trip as it is cooler in the morning and you arrive prior to the large groups. We had a small packed lunch and two bathroom stops.
Freddy was our guide and was great!!! Highly recommend him and his driver.
I chose this tour on price and the concept of early access. Since it was my first trip to Mexico, I was a little weary all around. Booking with Viator was very simple and easy. Trying to arrange for complimentary shuttle pickup was a little challenging since I never was out of USA, I did not know how to make the call - our concierge was kind enough to help us.
The ride from Riviera Maya to Cancun then to Chichen Itza and back was exhausting, so going in the morning helped this nap when we got back to hotel. Also, going in the morning, you definitely miss the crowds and get better pictures.
The best part about this tour was the kindness, professionalism and courtesy of our drivers and hosts, especially Jacinta tour bus driver and Freddy the guide.
Freddy was very informative, but also entertaining! He added just the right amount of colorful comedy to what could have been a very boring subject. He enticed you to pay attention, made fun of 'pop quizzes' and told great stories to explain the Mayan culture and the object of the city.
I would recommend this tour to anyone and have already shared our experiences with many of the guests here at our resort.
Freddy and Jacinto were absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this tour. Freddy was so incredibly knowledgeable and made sure that everyone had a good amount of time to explore on their own as well as walk us through the city. Jacinto got us back very quickly and smoothly, I slept both on the way there and back and as a light sleeper didn't wake up once!.
Frank is a total pro. His knowledge is extraordinary. He keeps you spellbound the entire journey.. A tour jot to be missed when in Cancun. Two suggestions for Frank: slow down your narrative a bit reduce OK significantly. A most enjoyable and educational adventure!
Transportation was on-time, very informative, corteous. Our guide Elda spectacular! Very knowledgeable.
As our guide, Freddy, constantly reminded us: this is the way to do Chichen Itza: early before it's too hot, early because we were leaving by the time big crowds were arriving, and with Freddy, because he and his associate, Pepe were absolutely on the mark with information and background. As all good teachers do, they anticipated the misconceptions and misunderstandings that we might have come with and not only corrected them, but explained why the myths and errors about the Maya are so commonly believed.
The trip leaves as early as 5:30 am you'll get a sandwich/drink/fruit bag on the bus for lunch. Recommendation: Eat it for breakfast, and then get a sandwich or snack at the site for lunch. Nothing wrong with the lunch bag, but it's better when you're half-asleep and hungry than when you're awake enough to realize it's what you used to carry to lunch at school!
Excellent tour and well planned. The early entry was great as there were many visitors by the time we were ready to leave. Early entry allowed us time to ask questions and view this magnificent site thoroughly. Frank was a very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive guide.the four of us who took this tour highly recommend it for others.
Highly recommend this tour, everything was so perfect, pickup was a 15-20 mins late, but we were able to call agency and get confirmation on delayed pickup immediately. They provide box lunch, and also provided vegetarian food on request! Guide Freddie was very informative and fun to listen to. You reach early, beat crowd, beat sun, and be back for a nice evening. Driver was nice, had smooth, safe drive. Very good experience overall.
Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. He provide information before we arrive to Chichen Itza so we had a better understanding of what we were to expect.
Very well planned out trip. .Going early was best, even though getting up at 4:30 Am to be in front of the Hotel by 5:30AM was hard. Yes the tour is fast pace. But once you see the crowd coming in when we were leaving made me think how nice it was to be able to get some great pics of the area. And you get back to your hotel in time to get some real good sun. Wayne!
Excellent and trip organization! Special thank you to Frank, our guide, he made out tour unforgetable! early access is a huge advantage
The tour was fabulous from start to finish. The pickup from the hotel early in the morning by Amigo tours driver Ramon was on time and organized. The guided tour conducted by Freddie was interesting, informative and very personalized. We would highly recommend guide Freddie and driver Ramon from Amigo Tours for the Chichen Itza adventure.
The best tour ever! Frank and our driver made our day a wonderful experience. We left with true knowledge of the Mayan people and will enjoy the memory for many years to come. Thank you Frank!
Even though I did not like to get up that early, it was definitely worth it. We were the first tour arriving at Chichen Itza and I have some photos with just me and the pyramid, no other people on there. Freddy, our tour guide gave us lots of information so we could fully understand what the pyramid, and also the other buildings, were all about. This was a fantastic tour and I would recommend it.
This trip was a blast, our tour guide was highly knowledgable. The tour starts early, we were picked up at 4:30am, but being one of the first 5 groups into the park was well worth it. On the bus the tour guides gives an initial build up of Mayan history as well as a fun language lesson. Once there we spent an hour and half on the tour and another hour and half on our own. Overall I would recommend this to everyone.
If you and #39;re looking for a bus to take you to Chichen Itza early, before most of the crowds and the heat, this is perfect. Straight there, straight back. Can and #39;t comment on the tour guide, we didn and #39;t stick with him.
Frank - our Guide - was humorous and informative - A great day trip to get away from the crowds in Cancun.
Have kids bring a small note book - perhaps even a sketchbook to remember and record the day.
Well worth your time AND? worth far more than the cost.

Was worth getting up early to beat crowds. Tour guide was great.
Timely pick-up, very fully bus a bit of a negative, great education and rapport by Frank! Perfect driving, on time, no snags. Highly recommended. The early start -- 5:15 am pick up -- was good in that we were some of the first people in and it was cooler. Back by about 3:30.
