Meet at 3pm near City Hall in Uptown Charlotte. You’ll be outfitted with a bike and helmet and given a safety orientation before following your guide on a 3-hour bike tour to taste some of Charlotte’s best brews.
Pedal through sprawling parks, lovely gardens and historic neighborhoods scattered throughout Charlotte while hearing stories about the city’s history from your guide. Explore Uptown, South End and a hipster artist enclave called North Davidson (NoDa), and stop along the way to visit three local neighborhoods pubs, bars and restaurants. Chat with your fellow travelers as you sip signature craft ales and stouts (tastings fees not included), and get a behind-the-scenes look at the facilities while learning about the establishments from the owners or brewmasters themselves. At one of the stops, you'll sit down to savor some classic Southern food such as fried chicken.
Stops vary but may include three of the following places: NoDa Brewing Company, Birdsong Brewing Company, Growler’s Brew Pub, South End, Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Triple C Brewing Company, The Common Market, World of Beer and IceHouse. Your guide will pick a route that’s most suitable for the group, but no matter which you take, you’re bound to get a great taste of Charlotte while enjoying some wonderful scenery.
You'll spend between 15 and 20 minutes at each place. If you try something you like, feel free to buy a bottle to take home with you. Your last stop is a popular local pub in Uptown. Savor your last beer here before hopping on your bike and returning to your original departure point.
