Approximately 176 kilometres north of Chiang Mai, situated at the border of Thailand and Burma, is Tha Thon district. On this tour you will visit 4 hilltribe villages, including Padong long necked Karen hilltribe village, which recently migrated from Burma.
Leave Chiang Mai for Chiang Dao which is approximately 1 1/2 hours drive away. Visit Chiang Dao cave, then proceed to visit Palong and Lisu village. Continue on to Tha Ton, where local lunch will be provided.
After lunch travel by private long-tailed boat trip on the Mae Kok River for 45 minutes to Baan Mai Mok Cham, a Shan village. Continue on to the long-necked Karen village and Akha village. Return to your hotel in Chiang Mai at approximately 6:30pm.
