Great pizza! Trip involve more sight seeing than expected which I thought was great.Tour guide made the trip!
Very enjoyable time. Joining instructions were clear. I had not realised that there were so many types of pizza base. Very high quality pizza. Guide very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. Would thoroughly recommend the tour.
Our family really enjoyed this tour! Ages of kids 19,17 and 13!
Very informative and full of pizza when you are done!
Full of GREAT pizza!
Really enjoyed the pizza, nice variety of thin, deep dish and toppings. Guide gave nice additional commentary on the bus ride and pointed out points of interest.
More than a pizza tour - the guide was excellent, providing interesting tidbits on the city of Chicago, in add'n to deeeelicious pizza!!!
I really enjoyed this tour. Tasting all the different types of pizza and hearing their history was really interesting. We made four stops and had six different pizzas of which five were different styles. Our bus driver and tour leader were great guys, and passed on a good amount of information about Chicago, and made a special detour to Museum Campus for us to take photos of the city, which really made our day. However, I (personally) was disappointed in some aspects of this tour. Firstly, there is a lot of dead time on the bus and in the restaurants. I felt this could have been filled with more information from our guide about Chicago and its history - I learned more on some other tours I took. Secondly, I got the impression when I booked the tour that it really got you behind the scenes, in to the kitchens and to meet the chefs and hear from them personally, however there was none of that. I definitely enjoyed the tour and would recommend it for people who want to do a bus tour and sample the different pizzas of Chicago. However, if you are in Chicago for a limited amount of time, there are other tours that you will get more out of in the same amount of time.
My wife and I really enjoyed the pizza tour. We been recommending it to all our friends.
Great variety of pizzas and an excellent way to spend a couple of hours in Chicago!
We were looking to do something different in the city. Found the pizza tour on-line. Great choice! We went to 4 places , deep dish, thin crust, coal fired and wood fired, and had a wonderful time. Mike was a very knowledgeable tour guide and made this an enjoyable experience.
We enjoyed the tour very much and tried some unusual pizzas. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable We were very disappointed with the meeting/pick-up instructions. They were to meet on Madison Ave between Michigan and Wabash and we stood there for 1/2 hour waiting for a pick-up. When I finally called to see where they were, I learned the group was sitting in a nearby Pizzaria. We nearly missed the tour.
Was actually expecting more of a behind the scenes/hands on tour. Whereas each of the four pizza restaurants visited were diverse, there was too much sitting down, waiting to be served. We also felt that there could have been more choice offered than the standard cheese and tomato for vegetarians and think this was an expensive way of sampling pizza slices. Our teenage son would have liked to have had a go making pizza, or watching how each restaurant prepares theres, instead of sitting down for up to 40 minutes, waiting to be served.
