A tour of this type rises or falls on the strength of the guide/narrator. Our narrator, Ben, was both personable and knowledgeable. I consider this tour a must when you're in Chicago, whether you're a resident or a tourist. You'll learn how and why the flow of the Chicago River was reversed, what Second City really means, how Chicago supports those towering buildings despite the squishy land beneath them, the histories of major architects who have shaped the Chicago, and the plans for adding even more spectacular buildings in the near future.
This was the highlight of our delightful weekend trip to Chicago. Knowledgeable and humorous guide and gorgeous, interesting views. I'd highly recommend it!

We've been to Chicago many times but never saw it from the river side. It was a gorgeous day at the end of September which made the tour perfect. The tour guide was informative and entertaining. An overall wonderful thing to do when visiting.
Well worth the trip to the city. It was interesting to hear the history and the Navy Pier was awesome. We took a last ride on the ferris wheel on September 26, 2015.
Great to learn about so many of Chicago's interesting buildings.
Great 75 minute tour with an entertaining and knowledgeable docent. We were on the 4:30 PM tour on Sep 26 and it was worth it! The afternoon sun was low and cast interesting shadows for the amusement of the photographer. A must-do for anyone visiting Chicago!
