Kevin the tour guide was very knowledgeable about the rich history of Chi-town. He added so much more to the tour with his singing and playing the harmonica absolutely fabulous time. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to know about Chi-town!
Even though it was mighty cool the day we went, it was well worth it. We had done the hop-on-off bus tour but this one takes you directly beside many buildings. The tour commentator was charming, informative and knew when to stop talking so you could just enjoy the scenery. The length of the tour was just right. The boat was open and gave you an UNOBSTRUCTED view.
The boat was steady and comfortable. Plenty of seats -- no bad views. Tour guide was really engaging and funny. Easy to hear thanks to microphone.
I can't imagine how this tour could have been more entertaining. From the moment we departed we were engaged with stunning visuals and lively information. Our guide was truly one in a million. His joy and enthusiasm for Chicago was honest and uplifting.
Beautiful way to see all the great buildings as well as views of Chicago.
We loved the cruise. Chicago is a beautiful and architecturally eclectic city!
Very nice and relaxing tour from a boat perspective. No traffic or limited view like in a vehicle. Recommended
The Architecture River Cruise was recommended by a friend, and I absolutely endorse their recommendation. Our docent was Kevin, who was fantastic! He guided us through an engaging history of the city, architecture and folk lore. Don't miss it - one of the best.
Excellent tour. Met our high expectations. The guide had both architectural creds and a lively sense of humor.
The guide was terrific and it was a great tour at a really reasonable price.
Almost didn't go due to dull, wet weather but did and the river cruise was fantastic. So facinating to see Chicago and its buildings from the river and the commentary was first class. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chicago.
In our opinion, the Architecture Tour is a "must-do" when in Chicago. We had the best time. The weather was lousy, it was cold and there was a school bus load of kids on our tour so our expectations were not as high as they may have been otherwise. But despite all the negative components to the day , I cannot imagine a better experience. Our guide was fantastic! He completely captivated everyone on board including what had been a rowdy bunch of middle schoolers. We would highly recommend this tour. Great! Great! Great.
A marvelous experience!!!! What a wonderful way to see Chicago! I never really appreciated the architecture before, but his tour really opened my eyes and made me appreciative of the beauty of the buildings and environs of Chicago. Our tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable. A MUST DO in this great city!
I highly recommend this tour for first timers in Chicago.
very pleasant and interesting, our guide was very funny.
Excellent !! Tour guide was very knowledgeable, talented and funny !! I would do it again.
Of course, it helped that the weather was wonderful, but what a great tour! Good tour guide! Very informative. I highly recommend this tour.
Loved the trip.....travel guide was superb......weather was perfect. Just a side note:
I was unable to reach the Chicago ticket office to find out if there were any openings for the 10/9 tour
at 11:30AM. Since I couldn't reach them, I called Viator and bought my tickets on line for 31.50 each.
Just my luck, the box office was having a special sale on October 9th.....and the tickets were only $18.50.
Oh well, it was worth the money either way. Thanks for your help!
