A lot depends how long you have in Chicago and would suggest purchase this if you are staying for 3 days or more. Chicago is a big city and things look closer on a map but to get a true picture of the city it is best to walk. The available events on this pass are far apart but well worth doing. The big advantage is you do not have to queue at venues as the pass gives you express entry. This came into its own at the Shedd Aquarium where we went straight in and others were queuing for 90 mins. in the heat - 90 degrees. The Aquarium is well worth doing and is different to your normal aquariums and even have a show arena with beluga whales. Care at the Adler Planetarium - there are several different shows but they only show once a day so look up in advance if there is something particular you want to see. However if you are into space and the moon there is lots to see and to do. We went in the Hancock tower - try the tilt if you dare and the Willis - your ears pop on the way up. If you are staying north of the river then there is a ferry from the city or Navy Pier to take you to the Shedd, Adler and History Museum that are all together
A good deal. Luv that we could skip the lines especially at Willis tower where wait time was 2 hours and it took us 15 minutes! We saw all the attractions in 5 days as we spent in some places only a few hours. Would have felt cheated if we had paid full fare and left a venue early. A good deal for a fair price.
This was a great value!!! I wish I would have had more time to enjoy!!!
Great value for money entry to all the city's major attractions
A great deal if you plan to go to these places. We went to five and found it convenient and a good bargain. It can help also to go to the front of the lines.
Excelent, espectacular and the best was that you do not have to make lines to enter each building
If you are fine to go by public transport or taxi then it is the most attractive and the cheapest excursion. You will see almost the entire city for two days (except the old town).
It was the best thing I purchase for my family trip. Highly recommended for everyone to purchase the CityPass.
You definitely get your monies worth by getting the city pass. Everyone in the Chicago area was so helpful especially the bus drivers. They helped us out so much it was unbelievable. Our final stop was at the Union Train station as was our bus driver. He took us into the train station to show us the machines to get the bus passes out of. Who does that!!! All the attractions take a substantial amount of time, so plan your day accordingly.
I bought Citypass via viator. Everything was smooth. Good experience
It's really good journey with quit a lot walking. The weather is not so bad these days.
The Chicago CityPass is definitely the way to go if you want to visit a handful of attractions and don't want to wait in line. Plus, the CityPass offers you several destination choices at discounted rates so it's really a win-win all around!! We were in Chicago on our honeymoon and used the pass to visit the Willis/Sears Tower and the Shedd Aquarium. Right there, that was worth it since there were NO LINES!! The CityPass included some additional destinations that we didn't get a chance to frequent only because we were out and about exploring the city. Highly recommend the CityPass!!!
Highly Recommended. Superb value for money. All the main attractions at a great discounted price meant we saw everything we wanted easily and with 'skip the line' access at almost everything. The included extras were great - 3D and 4D experiences that other visitors were paying extra for were already included!!! Highlights - Willis Tower with the glass ledges , the stunning 360* views from the John Hancock Tower, the whale and dolphin show at the Shedd aquarium etc etc etc Where there was a choice, you can get a good discount off the attraction you didn't select from the vouchers. Example - we chose the John Hancock Tower but also wanted to see the Art Institute - the voucher booklet includes a great discount off the normal access - we went to the Art Institute and used the discount voucher and were delighted at the saving - the ticket desk gave us $8 off the normal price!!! with the voucher. If you are going to Chicago and want to visit these attractions - get this pass as it's worth every penny spent.
