This tour was great. Kent brought history and humor together with great tastings!
This was a very informative tour about the history of Wicker Park and Bucktown as well as introducing us to some excellent places in the area with good food. Kent did a nice job of keeping the group interested and encouraged us to ask questions. It would be a good idea for the guides to wear name tags of some sort as I want to credit him with providing a very enjoyable tour, so I hope I got his name right. The tour was well paced for the variety of ages in attendance. Overall, I enjoyed the tour and have recommended it to friends planning a trip to Chicago. Thank you.
Excellent guide, Kent. Very knowledgeable about the area. Lots of great stories and interesting facts. The food was excellent! This tour is highly recommended. we have been going to Chicago every year for two decades and even with that being said, we learn something new about the area. Totally loved it!
It was a wonderful way to really see the area. The food stops were spot on. Each one offering a different and unique taste of the area. Our guide did a wonderful job telling stories as we did the walking portion. Best of all it gave me a chance to spend some special time with my daughter who now lives in Bucktown. She knows so much more about her new neighborhood. The next time I visit, we want to try the Chinatown tour.
Insightful, knowledgeable guide (Kent). Amazing food. History and architecture. A great all-around time.
This was a wonderful way to tour the neighborhoods, get a history lesson as well as to sample local cuisine. Our guide was informative, helpful and engaging. I would definitely recommend this tour.
My husband and I had the best time on this tour! The restaurant choices were outstanding and the food served at each restaurant was delicious! A perfect blend of history, ambiance, and food! Our tour guide was outstanding and I highly recommend this tour to any and all persons! It was a genuine treat! PS: it was a 12 minute cab ride from the Loop to the first stop at George's Hot Dogs, and getting a cab back to the Loop was very tricky. It may be best to have a ride back prearranged!
We enjoyed tasting the food and learning about a part of Chicago we knew nothing about. Our guide did a great job.
A friend of mine suggested this tour. We are from Chicago suburbs and love exploring the city. We have been to Wicker Park and Bucktown on our own before and not sure what to expect with Chicago Food Planet. THIS TOUR WAS SO FUN!!!! Carrie, our guide, was not only informative and knowledgeable but very engaging like she wanted to be there just as much as we did. We loved all the stops and food which was very eclectic and something for everyone. You will not go hungry! We are already planning our next tour of Gold Coast and Chinatown and bringing our friends as a couples day out!! So, all in all, if I could give this experience a 10 out of 5 I would. Book it now and ENJOY!!
Kent was really Superman. He was witty, informational and delightful. The eating establishments and historical tour should not be missed in this fun tour in Chicago.
The tour was excellent. Our tour guide, Kent, created a very good atmosphere and was very knowledgeable. A word of advice would be choose this tour if you want to see the real Chicago, not tourist Chicago. Props from Mexico
This tour was great. Our guide was full of information and she delivered it so well. Tons of food that was delicious, as well. It was a great way to spend a day in the city.
We had a great guide. He had so much information to offer about the history and architecture of Wicker Park and Bucktown. The food stops were interesting, and the samples were delicious. We had plenty to count as a large and satisfying lunch. What a wonderful way to learn about the personality of Chicago.
Outstanding tour . . . a good balance of food, local history and architecture. Kerry was a fabulous guide; very knowledgeable, related well with group and kept us engaged. Seletion of tour stops provided variety of flavors and experience. Loved the neighborhood!! We visited other options on the list and thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
Our guide was outstanding. A resident of the area, she was both friendly and knowledgeable, providing lots of historical detail, together with personal anecdotes. The tour was very well planned. She phoned ahead to the eating venues as we walked so everything ran smoothly. We felt very welcome in all the venues. Overall, a terrific way to spend three hours. We came away smiling!
Great tour with good food, history and architecture. Our tour guide, Kerry was wonderful, knowledgeable and professional. If you visit Chicago this is a must to add to your "to do list!"
Great time, really enjoyed the tour and the guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable
It was a great tour, wonderful food, relevant facts about the area? Your guide knowledgable. Only one complaint - you should put in the description about how long/far you will be walking. I about died! : )
This tour met my expectations. I appreciated the phone call to confirm the reservation as well as the follow-up when we were arriving. I would recommend this tour
