The Windy City Balloon Port is the flagship balloon port. Particular to the Windy City Balloon Port is that the hot air balloon flights typically begin in the tranquil and picturesque bowl of the Norge Ski Jump. Hot air ballooning is an adventure for the whole family and Windy City enjoys sharing its passion with it's passengers and spectators alike.

Unique to Chicago balloon flight operations, the Windy City Balloon Port features a chalet style building where passengers meet. The nicely appointed location includes facilities where you will meet your FAA Certified pilot and present your flight tickets. After your flight, you will be ground transported back to Windy City where you will participate in our ceremonial champagne toast, enjoy light hors d?oeurvres and continue to enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow passengers.

• This tour must be booked at least 72 hours in advance of your travel date
• Confirmation for this product will be received at time of booking
• The aircraft is weight sensitive, please give an honest account of your weight
• Passengers must be able to climb in and out of the gondola unassisted
• No heart problems or broken limbs allowed
• All passengers must be over 4 feet (48 inches) tall to participate
• Passengers will be asked to sign a waiver and verify that they have no physical of psychological conditions which would prohibit them from participating in the balloon flight

Sunrise Flight Tour Instructions

• The pilot will contact you by phone the night before to advise you of your flight status. On few occasions, the pilot will call early the morning of your flight.
• Please provide a reliable phone number (hotel or cell)

Sunset Flight Tour Instructions

• Call after 2:00pm the day of your flight to verify operation (see your voucher for details)
• A pre-recorded message will be receive to indicate the nature of the weather and your flight status

What to Wear

• Wear casual clothes, as if you were going for a hike
• No open-toed shoes, no high heels or sandals allowed
• The weather can be very unpredictable, so come prepared to cold, wet conditions
