Christchurch is famous for its fabulous dining, entertainment, breathtaking scenery and cultural heritage. Combine all of the above onboard the Christchurch Tramway Restaurant where dining is not only a culinary delight but also a trip back into history.

Dinner Package Options:

• Rolleston Dinner Package - includes four-couse meal (starter, entree, main and dessert) with welcome drink, tea and coffee
• Cathedral Dinner Package - includes five-course meal (starter, entre, main, dessert and cheeseboard) with all selected bevereges including quality New Zealand wines, beer, spirits, juice, tea and coffee

This is a very popular Dinner Tour and is usually booked out in advance, especially for Friday and Saturday evenings, to avoid dissapointment book now!

The Tram Station Stop, Cathedral Junction. It is just off Worcester Street, behind Christchurch Cathedral.

7:30pm, please note during June, July and August, tram departs at 7:00pm. Arrive at least 10 minutes early to allow for check-in.

Guests can disembark at any stops along the Christchurch Tramway Route.

STARTERS

• Freshly baked breads with roasted chick peas, Mexican veggie dip and a pumpkin cream
  

ENTREES

• Oven baked mussels baked with a garlic and Parmesan crust and drizzled with a chili and sesame dressing
• Chicken and apricot vol au vent with a creamy paprika sauce
• Roast tomato and capsicum soup topped with sour cream and crispy bacon (Dairy Free)
  

MAINS

• Racks of lamb coated in a garlic and thyme crust, on gratin potatoes, vegetable ratatouille finished with sage jus
• Crispy filo parcel stuffed full of tasty mushrooms and herbs on a pool of white wine cream sauce, served with a timbale of spinach and rice
• Coq au Vin chicken drumsticks cooked in red wine, with a vanilla scented potato mash (Dairy Free / Gluten Free)
• Fish of the Day baked in white wine, chili and lemon, placed on a bed of egg noddles and a fresh tomato and basil salsa (Dairy Free)

DESSERTS

• Cheesecake marbled with dark and white chocolate on a pool of vanilla pod creme anglaise
• Apple Tart sliced apples encased in a crisp puff pastry case with a sweet caramel sauce

FIFTH COURSE (only available with the Cathedral Dinner Package)

• New Zealand cheeseboard -  a trio of hard, soft and veined fine New Zealand cheeses served with sesame crackers, dried fruits and nuts
  

BEVERAGES ( only available with the Cathedral Dinner Package)

• An extensive beverage selection including quality New Zealand wines, beer, spirits, juice, tea and coffee
