Good half day trip while in Christchurch, opportunity to try many different wines from 4 places. Lunch was very good if you choose that option. Nice trip and recommended
Lovely, relaxed afternoon with lovely platter lunch at first winery. Tasted some wonderful wines and really enjoyed our guide Ian, both my partner and I thought he made the whole afternoon.
We ended up being the only two people on our tour for the date we selected, which was nice as it felt like a private tour. Our driver, Des was delightful and felt like a family before the day was over. We opted for the lunch option and were glad we did as you taste A LOT of wine throughout the tour. We visited one of the wineries prior to this trip and Des offered to take us to another location without us even asking. This is a wine tasting tour, not a winery tour, but we were able to walk around some of the grounds. We found Pegasus Bay's property to be most beautiful.
Guide was exceptionally courteous and informative about the area as we were passing through, and the main event of the day was amazing. So many great wines to try, and the vineyards we visited were gorgeous to say the least. Thanks for an awesome day!
The wine tour was amazing! Our guide was very friendly an knowledgable about all things local! He even came in and ordered us some coffees to be ready by the time we finished our wine tasting at Pegasus bay! Excellent staff, amazing wines and great company makes for a very highly recommended tour!!
Incredible! I tried so many different wines and the back drop was beautiful! Definitely recommend!
Waipara Valley is very close to Christchurch thus a wonderful way to spend a half day. The wines are enjoyable, setting lovely and people friendly.
Excellent day - Chris the tour guide was very friendly and informative and the wineries great.
Had a small group of six which was nice - well organised and enjoyable wines
We had a great day it is definitely very good value, would highly recommend!!
We tasted 24 wines. We did not have to drive, which made the whole tour even more enjoyable.
Days like that don't get much better. Our host, Jim, was wonderful. The wineries were all very lovely and the lunch was great. Great trip!!
There was 4 of us, and the driver was very friendly. Toured while the wineries were harvesting. Got a great insight at a lovely boutique winery called Muddy Waters.
We enjoyed the small group and informative friendly driver
I did the half day tour, with lunch option, which was excellent value for money. Visited 4 fantastic wineries where we were able to taste a range of grape varieties. Would definitely recommend this tour.
We were on the tour with Rodney. He was very friendly and warm, and told us a lot about Christchurch while driving along the streets. The company was excellent as well. Great trip, and thanks Rodney for being our guide!
We originally rated this highly but then gave it 4 star after doing the wine trail in Queenstown. The driver/guide was very helpful and we visited 4 wineries with lunch at one. The tastings were many and very intersting. Would recommend.
My husband and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Our very hospitable driver, John, picked up the two of us and an additional two other lovely tourists. We sampled many local wines and enjoyed hearing about the history of each place we visited. The time went by very quickly and our only complaint was feeling a little rushed by our tour driver at times - perhaps having stayed too long at our first location where we all ate lunch. Very much recommend this tour to people of all ages.
Very enjoyable day out, tour guide was very friendly and informative, good range of wineries visited Mud House was by far the best in terms of enthusiasm, education, information and generosity in respect of sampling. Felt Greystone Winery lacked motivation and interest.
Visited 4 local wineries with tasting plate for lunch at first winery. Good Tour
We came to the area 3 weeks after the devastating earthquake but were determined it would not stop us enjoying what was on offer. We were collected at our accommodation and were the only two on the tour. Our guide was informative and friendly. We enjoyed a wonderful platter lunch and three of the wineries we visited were very good and we bought 8 bottles of wine. The final one was a let down. The grounds were really beautiful but the interest from the staff was non-existent. Would suggest that the tour not include the very "commercial" winery.
Vineyards where good, the bus's suspension was shot. Bus driver was informative and helpful.
